StarTech 1-Port Parallel PCIe Card - PCI Express to Parallel DB25 Adapter Card - Desktop Expansion LPT Controller for Printers, Scanners & Plotters - SPP/ECP - Standard/Low Profile (PEX1P2)

Plugged right in. I am running a Linux variant for controlling a CNC mill and it must have a Centronics parallel port interface. USB to parallel will not work. Other than having to change the hardware address in LinuxCNC, it was painless.

I got this for a client who has a receipt printer with a parallel port interface and they were upgrading their really old PC to a new one without a parallel port. The physical install was simple and easy. I downloaded the latest drivers and they installed with not problems either. Easy peasy. In operation this worked perfectly with the receipt printer it was bought for. I’m very pleased with the result for an economical option. I’ve used other Startech products with good luck so the brand played a role in my choice too. It did not disappoint. That’s why I’m giving this expansion card 5 stars.

I installed this adapter in a new Dell machine. I swapped the full profile bracket with the low profile bracket (both brackets come with the product). Installation took about 5-10 minutes. Driver installation was extremely straightforward for my Windows 10 x64 machine. The drivers can easily be found on StarTech's website. This is a great product, and it works on my PlasmaCam machine, I saved a lot of money going with StarTech over Axxon

I don’t know how sheerness, thickness, or warmth can describe this product XD Kudos to this company and others that still allow us to use parallel ports, even on windows 10, which this is running on. One minor complaint was that one of the pins for the second parallel port connection was bent (did not affect ability) which obviously indicates it was damaged during assembly or packaging. It came with two shorter brackets as promised and a driver installation CD. As I am running windows 10, I use one for for the printer (need a male to male adapter) and one for the sentinel pro key. As for drivers, it is best to download from their official website, and extract the files and run the exe to install the drivers. Can’t believe windows still haven’t figured out how to automatically install parallel port drivers. The price tag is pretty high considering this is a decades old part, but hey, it works pretty good

It is a perfect LPT port. Good driver support on StarTech website.

Works well, had a very niche problem to solve. Needed to connect a parallel HASP dongle to a VMware virtual machine. In order to support a really dated piece of software. Was easy to install and worked like a charm. Ended up purchasing twice and using again.

Worked well once I downloaded the appropriate driver.

StarTech is top notch when it comes to electronics and connections.

Fonctionne correctement. Les pilotes Parallèle et Série sous Win 7 doivent être recherchés et installés avec le gestionnaire de périphériques sinon la carte n'est pas reconnue. D'autres cartes sont meilleurs marché mais à voir si elles fonctionnent et ont des pilotes disponibles.

最近のマザーボードはLPTポートが無いものが多く、ワンチャンいけるかもと、古いソフトのhaspドングル用に購入。 結果、どうやらI/Oアドレスが0x0378-0x037Fである必要があるようで、PCIEのパラレルカードではどうやっても無理だとわかり勉強になりました。（その後オンボードLPTありのマザーを購入しドングルも無事動作しました） 製品自体は組み付けも認識も問題ありません。
