How long do the results hold-up?** A: This is an abrasive for granite. If used with a hogs hair pad you will make the stone a higher gloss. It is NOT a surface coating like wax. Permanent is a long time, so let's say that it will change the stone to a glossy finish and the stone will stay that way unless the shine is abraded mechanically or altered chemically (like with CLR or HFL). **Q: Hi, what polishing pads should I use? I have a 7 inch polisher. Thanks.** A: a horsehair pad is recommended, which I got and which adhered to my velcro buffing wheel well enough as-is to complete the task. **Q: What is the grit size in this product, either in microns or ansi equivalent? is this more or less aggressive than rubbing compound?** A: I have no idea of micron size. But it is certainly less aggressive than automotive rubbing compound (red).
