will the closing magnets erase the magnetic strip on my cards?

Credit and debit cards will be fine with the magnets and the stripe will not be erased. Hotel room keys that use the magnetic stripe are more sensitive to magnets and will still be fine if you place them anywhere but the very front slot. Even the front slot is safe if you have the magnetic strip towards the top and not upside down.

Does this come in black? If yes how do I find it?

There is a black version however it may be out of stock if it is not showing as a choice on the brown version. The SKU for the black version is IDSH7068-blk.

It is 3.35 inches wide by 4 inches tall. The thickness can vary from 0.65 inches thick with just a couple cards in it to 1.25inches loaded with a lot of cards.
