Scissors are very sturdy and sharp. I used them often to cut threads sewing, cutting my nails and clipping knots from the hair of my dogs.

I had purchased two pairs a few years back. Both have disappeared therefore reordered them. I do really like them. They are sharp enough to cut the little one's nails, but I doubt I use them to cut hair. I love the rounded edges on them for safety reasons. I highly recommend them.

These scissors are perfect for adults as well as children I keep one in my purse for the times I might need scissors (although one was once confiscated when I went through security at a hospital). They come packaged in a small plastic case. The rounded tips protect from accidental cuts. There are so many ways these can be used - to open packages, to cut an errant thread, etc. They're much safer than leaving pointed scissors around.

I have a small skiddish poodle who doesn’t feel comfortable with anything around her face. These scissors are small enough for her to be at ease, but I can cut the burrs out of her facial hair. The rounded tips make me feel comfortable enough to cut her hair around her eyes. If you have a nervous dog and need to trim around the face, then these are good. I wouldn’t recommend them for dogs that aren’t skiddish since they are too small for most trims.

These are sharp (not the ends) and have made my life so much easier! I had a cheaper pair and did not cut well making the process so much more difficult when holding a 1-2 year ago to cut nails. Highly recommend!
