For an inexpensive flashlight made where Forest Gump played ping pong, it isn't bad.. I operate a private petting zoo operation where we feed hogs and deer. We have feeders set up 30 to 100 yards away from where we observe the animals as they eat and then tag them with a magic sleeping pills. We then take them for a complete make over, including dermal abrasion, upper and lower GI tract cleansing, ocular transplant, and teach them modeling poses where they show off their rack like an instagram model. I digress... this light. It illuminates an area suitable to see the creatures of the forest. The color seems invisible to them, allowing you time to observe them. The light is reasonably durable. What it isn't is AN INVISIBLE TO THE HUMAN EYE NIGHT VISION ILLUMINATOR. It is a bright green light, visible to humans but not to bambi or pumba. The beam is preset and CANNOT be focused, so 100 yds may be stretching it's limits. The main tube is 1" so if you mount it to "something" there are many options..

so just like the white light version of this. its on and off switch on the back makes it great for crowded back packs and pockets. battery life is awesome the 18650s are just awesome! so for the green light. this is a lot less harsh on someone's eyes at night. its great to do quick things outside. doing small detailed stuff might be easier for someone with out eye problems like myself but this flashlight is more for keeping your night vision rather then small detail. if you need detail get the white light version! get both they are great price!

We have a huge green space behind our fence in our backyard. We always worry about coyotes and raccoons being out there when we take our dog potty. That was the reason I bought this flashlight and I’m glad I did. It works better than a regular flashlight and you can see deep in the woods. When it hits the eyes of an animal they light up. I was flashing the light around the backyard and I was startled when I saw the deer’s eyes light up deep in the woods. Is definitely the best flashlight for seen lurking animals. I have a battery charger for larger batteries, it charges perfectly.

I bought this light primarily for a security light to use around perimeter buildings. Hen house , barn and detached garage etc. We like much of the midwest suffer from a coyote problem. Light is sufficiently bright to identify coyotes at 100 to max of 150 yards through scope. Bright center of beam wil light eyes 50 or so yards further. Periphery of beam is more than wide enough to light about 50 yards to either side of center. Allowing quick target acquisition. Its a little on the large side for a weapon light. Requiring a little thought on placement. With the myriad of rail accessories and multiple companies manufacturing them. Mine is attached to a magpul with an offset . Ive run two hundred rounds of 5.56 through playing. Works great, for twenty bucks and change its a steal .A pair of batteries is another thirteen with charger. Im delighted And it doesnt destroy your night vision

I’ve recently started doing a lot of predator hunting at night due to lack of activity during the day. I was scrolling through night hunting lights and stumbled upon the vastfire. Let me tell you that for up to about 200 yards out I had very good light output from the vastfire. I had a lot of success with this light and would love to review more of their products given the opportunity.
