The installment was pretty simple, it was plug and play, EXCEPT…I have a 2012 Dodge Ram Longhorn Laramie 1500 and the little stubs on the back would not go into the wholes, so I did have to cut them off and break them off using scissors. Hopefully this doesn’t cause any issues with weather or anything, it still seems flush but other than that, so far, great product. Will update if needed. It does not come on when the truck is put in reverse. If the cargo light is not coming on, check the connector for voltage when the cargo light is activated inside the cab. If there is no voltage, you have a wiring problem. Again, this light does not come on when the transmission is put in reverse. **Q: Does this need a resistor?** A: It is plug-and-play.
