A more clear wiring diagram and basic instructions would have been nice, but I figured it out. I needed to wire a reversible switch to an AC motor that had the six wire configuration - 2 wires need to be alternated to different wire bundles. The easiest way I could figure was running 2 extension cord lines to the switch from the motor. Black and white wires used as alternating switched wires, then I used the green wire as the power circuit. Worked like a charm. Pic shown for others who may have the same need.

I like that it is easy to figure out but instructions would have been great. I attached a photo of the diagram I mapped out. Please note that you only need to use the numbered lugs. The ones that are not numbered are connected to the numbered ones next to them. If you are using this on a DC system you only need the positive and negative. Otherwise use the N1 and N2 for neutral on an AC system.

120 v, reversing motor for lathe The first problem is The directions all in Chinese. Attached is a translation. Second is that there is not enough room for #10 wire, forget about wiring for 60 amps. I had to crisscross the wires over the drum to get them to fit, not the best way. And the little grommets are a joke. For proper wiring, you need cable clamps but it is still a very tight fit. I needed a reversing switch for a split phase motor I use on a small belt sander. This switch was priced much more attractively than the metal cased ones I bought years ago and are now much more expensive. It took some figuring out how to wire the switch. I basically ran the two wires that are swapped to reverse the motor from the motor to the switch and then back to the motor. Another set of contacts were used to connect the hot wire to the running coil. It works perfectly for me in this application.

The switch may come to you with not all the switches functioning. Don't be afraid to to remove the drum switch from the j-box. You will find windows on the side of the switch body for all 5 contacts. Use a meter and check for contenuity at each switch that looks closed. Do this in forward and reverse. Mine had 2 contacts that looked closed and were not. Use a screw driver or needle nose pliers to adjust the copper strips that holds the contacts. A new switch from Jet would have run me over $110, this fix cost less than $20. Most of the work is in mounting the new j-box. Fixing stuff is why we have tools. I'm I right?

It works after you figure out how to wire it. I am not electrical savvy. All I need is two 12 volt wires in and two motor wires out. I used the info below.

Bought for a davit & wasn’t able to get it wired up due to a lack of instructions, diagrams. Had an licensed electrician look at it & all he could say was “good luck”. Thru it in the trash.
