Distinct flavor. Great on beef, BBQ pork, and in chili.
This isn't just a type of Himalayan salt with minerals. It has a little Hawaiian Alalea Clay baked in with the salt. This results in a richer, bold tasting salt product with depth of flavor. The clay and salt granules aren't separated. They are "fused" granules and won't separate into separate elements. This product is particularly good on beef, BBQ pork, chili, or added to hearty stews. For some unknown reason, it is surprisingly good on fruit salad.

Good Salt
I bought this for a Hawaiian pork recipe. It tastes awesome. It’s the perfect grain size for cooking. Salt dissolved nicely in the recipe, and tasted awesome. It has a slightly smoke flavor with a little something extra. The amount of salt for the price is amazing.

Arrived damaged
It arrived with a broken lid and the item can’t be returned or replaced. I’ve only used the salt once and it seems good. It added good flavor to my kalua pork.

Excellent Taste! After eating fish in a restaurant that had an amazing flavor, I asked to know what the fish was seasoned with. The chef said he uses this red Hawaiian salt in many of his dishes.
