is the tan one darker than it looks?

The web belt I bought was white. I don't know about the tan belt.

There are no directions for how to remove the buckle. I understand how to cut off the excess but not how to get at the end of the web

It's a standard military buckle. You turn the buckle over, look at the end of the buckle closest to where the extra belt leaves the buckle to wrap around your waist, and lift the flange that has the teeth in it to prevent the belt from moving and latch it down. It may be hard at frist so use a screw driver if you have to. then take the buckle off, cut the excess, and slip the belt back on the buckle and close the flange. That's how you do it. If I'm still not clear, go to you tube and find a video. I hope this helps.

Where can i find thicker belts in gi issue thickness, maybe 4-5 mm? thin belts don't hold size or buckle well...
