Sturdy with a nice handle. Perfectly balanced.

Excellent balance and feels great in my hand. Also not a thick handle like Estwing, which is also poorly balanced due to the whole thing being metal. I returned the 20 oz Estwing and got this 15 oz Plumb. 15 or 16 oz is perfect weight I feel. Wish the chisel part was a hair wider but I’m sure as I use it there will be times that I would want it narrower is as is. I ripped up the package as soon as I took it out and felt it in my hand. My favorite hammer for everything. **Update** I was wrong. There is no need for the chisel part to be wider. I I’m used this hammer all day and not only was the balance completely perfect but the hammer and chisel parts were right on point perfect and great weight, size and width. 100% 5 stars. By far my favorite hammer. Easily beats my Estwing rock hammer. Highly recommend and also perfect weight.

I would give this hammer 6 stars if possible. I’ve used numerous different brands of hammers doing stone work and will not buy anything but this exact hammer ever again. Great weight and balance and so far after 4 months of daily use I haven’t noticed much if any dulling on the chisel side.
