d.light S30 Solar Lantern - Ultra-Bright LED Light for Outdoor and Indoor Use, Including Camping, Hiking, Fishing, Power Outages, Emergencies, and Hurricane Survival Kits

This is my second time purchase of Dlight solar lamp. I had A2 back in 2020 and it's still working fine. I bought a pair of s30 and one s3, which are working great. Build quality is excellent and very durable. Very minimal weight. Not fully waterproof, therefore you have to cautious during rainy days. Brightness is great and battery backup is also as promised. It can be charged by nokia charger also during overcast days. It's best for camping, various adventures and can be used in worst case scenario like typhoon, tornado and Earthquake. The best thing about this lamp is you can't drain it's battery, after hourlong use (i.e12hs+) though it'll dim but never left you in darkness, which is the good part of this lamp. It has Glow in the dark radium switch also. Price is also justified. IMO for your adventure gear, along with other lighting equipment, you can consider it as a backup light source for unfortunate situations!

Love it. Everything I'd say would be a repeat of the other glowing (ha! pun!) reviews. So just a few highlights. In an effort to say "screw you ever increasing utility rates" I've challenged myself to use as little lighting in the morning and evening hours at home. In the winter months in Wisconsin, that means a lot darkness. This little guy has become my "everything light". All my morning stuff, from picking out clothes, getting ready, making my coffee.... Then I charge it up during the day, usually leaving it in the dash of the car. It charges surprisingly well, even through a window. And the angled solar panel is such a simple, wonderful addition. Then I use it in the evening as a room light. It's not going to send blazing light into every corner, but if you hang it from a ceiling hook it does a surprisingly nice job of lighting up a room. It's the "take the dog out, and close up the chickens" light too. And it ends the day as a reading light. You've got to bring it a little closer to read by, but it works just fine. I've just been pleased all around with this thing. The little design ideas make all the difference. The thing I haven't seen mentioned, is the USB charging plug it comes with. I've got other goal zero items I use as well. The smaller goal zero solar panel it pretty awesome as far as versatility and efficiency go. I was a bit reluctant to go outside the goal zero brand. But as good as the goal zero stuff is at gathering power, they have yet to make a really good light at an affordable price. As cheap as this thing is, I thought it was worth a try. And I'm pleased to say that it fits right in with the goal zero stuff I already have. If I don't get enough sunlight on a given day, it charges perfectly well from the the goal zero power pack.

I'm sailing around the world, currently in New Zealand after leaving the UK in 2013. I have tried many solar lights for anchoring or cockpit lighting but most died prematurely. When I flew back to the Uk in 2014 I bought two D-lights which have far surpassed anything else in terms of quality of light, battery performance and robustness. We hang one or two in the rigging at night when we're at anchor and use them to light the cockpit, in the morning three years on they still burn as brightly after 12 hours of darkness. On board our boat must be the toughest test anyone could put these lights through. They're out in all weather and just keep on working! These lights are fantastic, the best, unfortunately we lost one in a storm off Pitcairn in the South Pacific so I'm now buying two more and my son is bringing them out to the boat in April. Thank you for making such a great product.

Great product and very rugged. I was not sure about the light level as I have the larger unit already but this one was very bright and easy to charge and use. The size is very convenient and it is almost indestructible. The two levels of light provide good options. If you can pay the extra also go for the S300 model as it has more functions and higher light levels to use in tents or RVs and in larger areas. This is good for personal use or two people close together. The larger lantern is a good purchase too.
