Together, they hit that sweet spot between hearty and snackable. Texture: The beef has a good “snap” when you bite into it (which is a huge win in snack stick land), and the cheese is smooth and easy to eat. No waxy after-feel, which I appreciate. Portion & Packaging: Individually wrapped pairs make them perfect for tossing in a lunch bag, keeping in the car, or sneaking into movie theaters (not that I would ever… wink). They’re portable and mess-free—unless you count the minor cheese grease on your fingers, which is part of the charm. I like to have something to snack on in my purse along with a bottle of water. When I am out and about, it's good to keep from having an empty upset stomach when it's time to take my medication. I decided to try this. I like the beef stick. Less chewy pieces that I refuse to swallow, than some other brands. It's tender beef too. The cheese stick was not tasty. Didn't even taste like real cheese. I checked the ingredients and it's real american cheese. They probably added some preservative since it doesnt need refrigeration, which makes it tastes like that. I'm only using them for out and about purse snacks, so it's not a big deal about the cheese stick. I only took one star away because of the cheese flavor and texture. The beef stick is fine. The "Use By" date on the individual stick packages inside of the box is 04/28/2022. 18 count. EBT eligible.
