Cuisinart Vertical Smoker Charcoal

This was a great purchase, great Value. Perfect little smoker.

So I have a smoker, but that's not what I bought this cover for. I have a small antique parlor wood stove that we keep on our patio to enjoy a nice fire on chilly evenings outside. The stove is not water tight, so it fills about 1.5 inches with water when it rains, which makes a mess inside and is less than ideal for the longevity of the stove. It measures about 19" across one way and about 11" the other way. I took a gamble and bought this cover and it fits perfectly, although it is obviously taller than I need. No problem, I can fold it under to shorten the length. I am impressed with the quality of this cover. It is thick and feels like fabric, not plastic. Works great to keep my stove dry!

I got this smoker on a warehouse open box deal for about $100. The quality is so-so for some of the parts and hardware. Namely the clasps on the bottom, one bent and became almost unusable on first use. I purchased some bbq gaskets and lined the smoke box door and the lower section to help with leaking air. This seemed to help out a lot. I also purchased an aftermarket thermometer, but found the factory one was surprisingly accurate. The food this thing produces is amazing. I have been blown away every time. I find the temperature a bit hard to control, but am getting better with practice. I find it does not like to run hot (275-300) and is much better at maintaining a lower temp (200-225). Definitely worth it if you can get a deal on one. I’m glad I didn’t spend $200 on it, but for $100 you can’t really beat the quality of smoke this thing can produce.
