Because I am not the most observant person, I made the assumption that they would be filled with some type of glue. However, I was not disappointed and having to fill the syringe myself gave me trepidation, but, it was easy to feel and use and I didn't make a mess filling the syringe or using it on eighths of an inch wide strips of paper. The syringes have been so worthwhile, and so I would say my only regret is that I didn't search for them sooner. Those strips of paper are very very narrow. They are simply the syringes that you can use for a variety of glues. **Q: Do these come with caps to avoid glue drying out? If not, are caps available?** A: Mine didn't so I used stick pins on the end so the glue didn't dry out **Q: How do u take it off** A: I’m not sure what you mean, but if you mean the orange needle part, it twisted off for me. **Q: Will these handle yellow wood glue a/k/a Elmer’s wood glue or Titebond or are those too thick for this applicator?** A: I think wood glue would work just fine with these. The E6000 glue that I use in them is a very thick and they handle it just fine.
