Works great, easy to clean. This is a better option than tea bags. No micro plastics either these

This is the strainer to get if you have a really big mug...it holds alot of tea and stays submerged.

I like this.
I like this. Some of the other reviews say that it will float. This is probably true. The way to solve the problem is to put a marble in it. It works just fine for me. The holes are just what I wanted. Cleans easily and makes good quality tea. Opens easy enough for me. I have no problem with this item and would recommend it to anyone.

For a perfect cup of tea
Bought these tea infusers to replace some very old ones that no longer would remain closed. The top on the infuser screws on to keep tea securely inside. The little hook on the chain holds it on your cup or mug. Rinsing out immediately after use makes clean up easy. A must have for loose tea lovers!

Coffee by the mug. At home or camping.
Of the 3 tea steeping sets purchased this is my favorite one for making coffee. While motorcycle touring I've been making single mugs of coffee with Melitta #2 or #4 filters and boiling water. I went through a lot of filters, and ran out on some long tours. I bought the first steeper as a way to reduce my paper filter consumption. But the first steeper was a bit too small for 15g of ground coffee. My second attempt was bigger but screwed apart in two equal halves which lacked capacity. This set offered me both a 3rd and 4th try at sizing. The large sized in this set was not needed as the small size holds 15g of coffee. I now measure using the top holes in the main basket. Filling to the top holes is a coffee measure of 15g in either bean and loose ground form. The steeper tends to invert when dropped into a mug of coffee. Since the cap, threads and chain weigh more than the basket end. When lowered in the flip-over makes the chain want to dive into the coffee, but otherwise only helps by moving the basket around more. I hook the chain through a hole in a piece of flexible cutting board, cut down to just cover the mug. Covering retains extra heat, and when camping keeps debris and insects out. A major benefit of this steeper over a #2 filter is that I can now adjust the coffee brew strength at the end by bobbing after my 3 minute steep completes. When ground course I find between 5 and 30 bobs does it, depending on mug size and water temp. While camping I bring water to a rolling boil. At home my microwave gets 250ml of water close in 2m22s (over 3 minutes for a large mug). I haven't used these yet camping, where the cleanup will be much harder. A #2 paper filter just went into the garbage. I'll still have garbage of loose grounds, plus I'll have something to clean out. At home most of the grounds come out with a tap over the kitchen garbage can. The remaining wash out with quick rinse in the sink. Flushing the cups inside first, then held under the faucet with water running from the outside to inside normally suffices. Running my finger around the inside while holding it under the faucet helps to get any stubborn grounds free. Pretty happy with the cup of coffee this produces at home. On coffee snob scale I would rate myself in the middle of the road, leaning more towards the snob side. I don't like dark coffee like Starbucks, but enjoy a good cup of smooth coffee. Earlier this years I started roasting my own coffee, and began attempting to perfect a good consistent brew method for consistent tasting. I like lighter smooth coffee. After a few dozen single source green bean roasts I found that I like most coffee beans from central america. UPDATE 12/21/23 Finally got around to using the large infuser, and it does work better for a single cup of coffee. It seems too big in a small 8oz mug, but works better than the small one. The infuser cannot flip over in most mugs , because they are not wide enough. Coffee seems to taste a little better when it has extra room to expand inside the infuser. Coffee can still be nicely tuned to your tastes with a few finishing "bobs" of the infuser before pulling it out to drain. Very happy with the coffee from the large size, even though it makes it less convenient for travel camping. So happy, I bought another pair of the large size, so I can make coffee for two.

Impressive Tea Infuser
I recently purchased this tea infuser, and I must say, it has exceeded my expectations. Initially, I made the mistake of adding the tea infuser to my mug before pouring in the hot water, only to find that it floated to the top while pouring rather than staying to the bottom. However, I quickly discovered that adding it after pouring the water solves this issue beautifully.Once in the mug, it does its job impeccably, allowing the tea leaves to steep to perfection. The small mesh design ensures that no leaves escape into my drink, resulting in a smooth and delightful tea-drinking experience. What's more, the small tray included with the infuser is a thoughtful addition. It's perfect for resting the infuser when using a tea that allows for a second steep. This way, I can enjoy my first cup while the leaves are ready for their next round of brewing.

No More Tea Bag Taste! GREAT Infuser!
I purchase large tea bags of Tropical Tea (same one that Habit Burger uses for those who have had that) and was always so disappointed with that tannin taste from the tea bags so I started looking for a way around that. I usually used one bag twice for two pitchers so now all I do different is open up the tea bag and put half in the infuser, then let it steep in the refrigerator overnight and it turns out great. I water it down a bit further so the pitcher lasts awhile. Then when it's time for another, just use the other half of the dry tea and there you go. To clean it I just dump the grounds in the trash and wash with soap & water, good as new and ready for next time. SO happy I came across this thing. I love the design too I think it's pretty. Definitely measure the opening of your pitcher to make sure it will fit and if so you'll love it.

The holes in the bigger one are so tiny it barely seen, it looks like a solid walled cylinder. The smaller ones are a little bit better only. Consequently it is buoyant, floats on the surface especially when you want to use it for spices in an soup having oil in it. The flow of water must be seriously constrained hence the infusion effect is limited. Unluckily I tried it against my better judgement and cannot send it back being used, and I regret I bought it.

This little gadget makes it super easy to make a 2L jug of tea with hot water, or of cold brew overnight. We've also used it in an urn to make 10L of tea. The holes are so fine, nothing noticeable escapes, but water moves freely through it. The lid fits tightly, and it's easy to clean.

Well made, works fantastic with very fine holes for minimal particle diffusion into your beverage. Easy to clean and being all stainless are great.
