1. This product was perfect to raise my controller and laptop to a level that relieved a lot of the strain that comes from looking down at controllers/any gadget for long periods of time. This, alone, makes it a worthwhile product. 2. Assembly could have been easier. Can we get a "pop and lock" version 3. This product is sturdy and does hold the weight as described. I used the box underneath for extra security. If you have something like a Rev-7, you might have to put brackets on the bottom to keep it from tipping over etc. 4. Portability? Yes if you have a very light weight controller. I won't take it with me. I wish I could, but I would have to take a brace and lock it down etc. More work. 5. SUGGESTION: Make a popnlock version that will hold up to 75 lbs and we all win. This is great for at home.

The instructions it came with were unclear. Part of the problem was that mine didn't come with the plastic washers that the manual indicates it should have. The materials list doesn't give the washer's size and I couldn't find any that fit at a hardware store. As such I was unable to securely set it up as shown in the attached picture with only two bars holding the top section. My other main complaint is that it's a very difficult one person assembly and no tips about easiest assembly order are given, just the exploded in the attached picture. I've been using it for months at the lowest setting using holes 1, 4, and 6 on both the top and bottom segments (counting holes up from the surface it's resting on) and it's rock solid. It's holding a ~4 lb laptop on the top and a ~6 1/2 lb midi-controller on the bottom. My only post-setup complaint is that it occasionally makes metallic squeaking noises without any apparent cause. I was worried that something was coming loose, but I've checked its integrity multiple times and found no visible issues. It happens less frequently now than the first ~3 months I had it.

None of the other stands really offered what I was looking for, but like other people have said after reading the reviews I was hesitant because of the mentioned flimsiness and overall stability. When I first unpackaged it I was a little bit overwhelmed, because it wasn't obvious at first how it went together. After thinking about it for a minute and looking over, it really couldn't be easier. I feel like anything easier would be flimsy, and as long as everything is tightened well, which means checking all of the multiple pieces that unscrew, it should be plenty sturdy for you. As far as it being stable, just make sure everything's tightened down. Now I have done two mods to mine, which took no tools other than a pair of pliers. The first one I did was sometimes I like it really low, so in one of the photos you'll notice at one of the outside brackets has a little piece broken off the bottom of it, that's so I can lower it down all the way. I just took a pair of pliers and folded it back and forth until it weak into the metal and snapped off about a half an inch of metal. That's the caveman way of doing it, anything else would do better but I still got it done. The other mod I did which has worked for me pretty good in the last couple of months is to prevent the stand from tipping backwards which it might do if you have a lot of weight on the top and a light controller like I do, on the bottom. So I just moved up where you screw the stand in at. I'm only using one of the two holes, but I've got industrial double-sided tape other under the other end, which is just there to prevent it from sliding, ideally you would want to drill out a hole in either use a flat bolt and washer, or use the flat screw that came with it in and tap a new hole so you can screw in that front screw.. it's still super sturdy, as you can see right now it's loaded up and balancing on a bed, which it could not do prior to me repositioning the legs. They could be part of the reason why I think it's so sturdy . I usually have my controller and my laptop pretty flush, but I decided to raise it up just the middle platform recently to try to help my posture while playing at home. It's a great value for the money, and really nothing else I or other have seen has this form factor. And while adjusting the height on this isn't as fast as a push button clamp (what's used on aluminum crutches) I think this is far sturdier than that, and really not that bad to take apart and re-assemble, I wasn't looking forward to it until I did it a couple of times, not an issue at all. Height is sufficient enough to where you can even put a keyboard or some performance pads on the bottom if you're using on a desk. If I could go back I would purchase again without question.

June 2025 at $41 USD. This is *not* a $40 stand. This is a $10 stand. Two screws sheared off when hand tightening. Obviously poor quality Chinalloy.metal. I have a workshop and found proper steel screws to repair. I had to reverse the stems of the screws which sheared to clear the holes. That was absolutely a $10 stand issue. I have a Korg MS2000 on it. 7.1kg/15.6 lbs. That is almost exactly HALF of the max weight they claim. The thing leans forward and wobbles like you wouldn't believe. The back is about 1cm off the desk. I might try to screw it into the desk or try the photography sandbags someone else mentioned, if they are small enough. If I hold the back down, it wobbles 95% less. So, that is going to be important to remedy. Again, a $10 USD stand issue. The tray adjustment screws are welded into the lower brackets, then the adjustable pieces slide in a slot over those, with tiny wing nuts hold it. I am scared to detach of tightening those down hard, now. With the base feet bending into a curve under the strain, I cannot trust any of this metal. I am not going to count this against them, but wanted to mention in case others were wondering. If you would like to flip those upper brackets to get another synth above this, it's not going to work unless you keep this very short. You need to think about the fact that you only get three bars to deal with. I have the front of the Korg about 10 inches off the table, but that took using the last two holes available. The only bar left over had to go up high on the top hole. That means there would only be one bar to hold those... not going to work. MAYbe if you dropped everything down, so that you could get two bars holding that upper portion... maybe. Also, you need to remember that those upper bracket will put a limit to your depth on the back side. If you install them, nothing will go back past them. Also, using the top two available holes, the bars cannot be tightened enough to keep the slop in the holes from allowing it to lean forward slightly. I might drill one more hole on each side to give it three points of holding, which would stabilize that. Another $10 stand issue. One thing they do not make obvious is that you get those 3 cross bars in 5 sections. The middle is the longest, then two shorter sections on each side of that. They all screw into each other. This is what gives you width adjustment for the upper platform. You have two choices - between first shorter pieces or second shorter pieces. That's it. I erroneously assumed those could slide. Now, looking very closely at the main photo, I see the sections. That was not obvious to me, so hope it helps someone. EDIT: I have resolved the forward tilting issue by instead using a couple of small C-clamps holding the back feet down to the desk. No sandbags or screws required.

I really like how sturdy and portable it is to travel with it. It’s easy to assemble. It came with missing pieces but the support team took care of it and shipped out out quickly.

I use this when I practice DJing at home. It works awesome.

Built quality is good, BUT (a big but) it wobbles a LOT. It comes without a “instructions for installation “ so its a bit tricky to understand, once you do.. its good in 10minutes. The picture shows it has rubber tape on top to help keep the grip of the dj controller and laptop BUT… it doesn’t comes with one. Again a bad experience. To sum it up up it solves the purpose to elevate your equipment at a good eye level and your back doesn’t hurt for playing for a long time. But overall its not fun to play with this stand.

Actually, this was better than I expected after reading some other reviews and for a permanent setup it works well. However for live use a little unstable, also pretty big.. I would say it's not for everybody but for some it would fill a definite need.

Good quality and sturdy, one of the best buys in Amazon. Highly recommend it. This hold my DDJ FLEX 4 and if we'll placed, leaves room to hang the headset.
