The battery on my MacBook Air was running out of charge very quickly, so I needed to have it replaced. Apple charge almost £150 and my local computer repair shop wanted £90 plus VAT. I looked on YouTube and it seemed quite easy to do it myself. So, I ordered this kit on Sunday afternoon and it arrived on Monday lunchtime (what did we do before Amazon?). This kit includes a battery, the necessary tools and other items. I timed myself and it took me exactly 12 minutes to install the new battery from start to finish. I felt so smug having done the repair for less than half the price the repair shop wanted. The power calibration takes a day, but now my computer is as good as new. So, great value for money. I'd definitely recommend this item so long as you study the YouTube videos before you purchase. Take your time and don't worry about making a mistake.

Easy to fit and works well. I have had this in my MacBook air for a few months now and no sign of loss of battery life. A great replacement and a lot cheaper than getting Apple to fit a new battery.

Replaced my A1466 (early 2015) MacBook Air battery which died and would not charge. It came with two screw drivers to undo the laptop's back case and internal battery mounts. Also Included were, soft rubber keyboard protector, new screws, incase the old screws were worn, and step by step instructions on how to replace the battery. It took me less than 15mins to install myself (but with care). I then calibrated the battery by firstly charging to 100% and leave it plugged in for 2hrs full charge. Then drain the battery until 0% and leave it drained for a further 5hrs, before once more full recharge. The battery works great without an issue so far. Although the kit was 3rd party, it was well packaged and provided everything possible required to get the job done. Just Brilliant!

I was slightly dubious as to whether a battery a quarter of the price of the OEM (and 50% of iFixit) would be okay. Pleased to report it works like a dream. Fitting was straightforward . My MacBook Air (Early 2015 - A1466) is now happily running with Sonoma 14.5 (using OpenCore Legacy Patcher) and the battery lasts at least 9 hours. This 7.5 hours longer than before replacement. The instructions look to have been translated in English by online translator and caused me to check whether to perform a 12 hour charge/discharge to 7% cycle. The iFixit instructions suggest 2 hour/7% cycles. However other people to have done the 12 hour so I followed suit and the MacBook is back to its original state. Too early to comment on longevity, but the time being I'm very happy.

This was a battery for a 2015 MacBook Air that was showing that the battery needed service. Apple charges nearly £160 for this and in many cases you have to leave your computer with them for between 5 and 10 days. The option is to get this. All the tools you need come with it, instructions are easy to follow (although I would suggest you watch a couple of the YouTube videos before you do this if you are non-technical). The whole job takes around 15 minutes if you take it easy. Whilst you have the computer apart, I would also recommend that you use an air duster, carefully, to blow away any dust accumulation from the fan and vent areas. Once you have performed the replacement, go to the Apple menu in the top left of the screen, choose "About this Mac" and then "System Report". Go to the "Power" tab and check that the system is reporting the battery correctly. Shut down the computer completely and let it charge fully. Use it off power until the battery is just below 10% and recharge. Repeat three or four times to get the best out of the battery and you are good to go. To use another word, "Simples!"

Great replacement battery that comes with the screwdrivers you need to fit it. Instructions were a little spartan but a quick search on google for a YouTube video shows how easy it is to fit this replacement battery. I had never replaced a laptop battery before, and I found it very easy if you just take your time and make sure the screws go back into the holes they were taken from as some are longer than others. One tip, when you remove the old battery the ribbon connector will be bent into a ‘S’ shape. Bend the ribbon connector into the same shape on your new battery before fitting to avoid tension on the motherboard. Comes with little extras that I did not use, i.e. a membrane type keyboard cover and replacement feet for your Macbook. Overall, very pleased with this battery and would buy again.

Po dwóch miesiącach testów - mój macbook jest jak nowy. Polecam wszystkim. Nawet jeśli chcecie kupić nowy sprzęt, bo w starym nie domaga bateria to ją wymieńcie i macbooka dajcie babci, mamie, tacie. Wszyscy będą zadowoleni :). Testowany czas działania na jasności 70% - ok. 8h

Stämde väl med beskrivningen och innehöll de verktyg och skruvar som behövdes. Enkelt och flera videos fanns på Youtube. Installerade, laddade fullt och har sedan uppdaterat program och arbetat oavbrutet under 3 och en halv timme. 70% kvar av batteriet. Behöver jag sägs att det var som en ny dator för 700 kronor, stor skillnad jämfört med det gamla batteriet. Skulle köpa det igen. (Med reservation för att det kanske känns annorlunda över tid.

Si vous cherchez la performance maximale, il faudra investir dans une batterie officielle pour gagner environ 10 à 15 % de durée supplémentaire, ou carrément changer de Mac...
