From a distance they look *almost* identical. Closer up on visual inspection the differences can initially be seen in the side fascia toward the back of the shoe where the C 85 says "Reebok" on the outer side of the heel, but the "C MemT" has three parallel horizontal impressions.The C MemT is a spongy piece of garbage. You could take it new out of the box and twist it like a towel. The sole is paper thin, like slippers; you can feel everything you walk on. The shoe bends and deflects everywhere. There's a gel filled surface covering it on the inside. The shoe rots quickly, disintegrates, the glued constituents of the shoe fall off, split, come apart. They are the easiest 'Club C's to find, they're everywhere Reebok is sold, and they come in every width.By contrast it is exceedingly difficult to find a wide Club C 85. On the Reebok web site, only the ridiculously narrow version of it is sold. You have to scour the web to find a wide Club C 85--the C 85 is the real Club C that was sold for decades. I've only found them on the DXL (Destination XL) site.A 2E width (U.S.) is still going to be a 2E width (U.S.), and a 4E width (U.S.) is still going to be a 4E width (U.S.) with for all of them. But stay far away from the MemT.Please also contact Reebok and assist us in persuading the company in getting the wider versions of the Club C 85 restored to the popular market. **Q: Has anyone noticed these[the white with blue trim] changed.? I wore the white/blue for years. These seem to be fall apart quick ments, with blue trim.** A: I can hardly wear the pair of Classic I bought since the arch support isn't built in, which is why I began wearing this shoe years ago. That was the design that made Reebok so successful and why I think these are knock offs. I expect they will fall apart too, if I was able to wear them long enough.
