Good Stuff!! Nice balance of heat and flavor
Adds some spice/heat to dishes but heat is not enough to cover up the taste of the food it is put on. Some hot sauces are all heat, with minimal flavor, covering up whatever they are put on. This condiment adds some "zip" yet still lets the food come through. Have ordered this product several times in the last six months or so, we use it a lot when we make Chinese pearl meatballs, rice noodles, and with most Chinese foods. It is salty though so a little can go a long way if you don't like salt.

Salty but good
I like this chili paste, though perhaps leans a bit on the salty side. I'm used to something a little spicier and oilier. It's also a little chunky (little bean globs) so if you're looking for a smooth paste this might not be right. But the taste was good!

I'm a bit obsessed
This Broad Bean Chili Paste with Chili Oil covers all the bases and I find myself craving it. Umami, salty, spicy.... ALL the things. A very simple stir fry of pea pods and sweet bell peppers is taken to the next level with a spoonful of this sauce. Plain or brown rice becomes exciting. Kick up your favorite kung pao chicken recipe. Heck, it would probably be delicious over cream cheese with some crackers as an appetizer. I'm a little obsessed and look like Pavlov's dog as I'm thinking about it.

Very mild heat level
I have a family member who is very averse to any kind of heat so I was glad to have found this. It still has great umami flavor, and texture. However, if you are looking for anything with a kick or usual heat level of doubanjiang, then is not for you.
