I give it 5 stars, Because I think it is a great product. It looks nice, works great and is quiet on the lower speed. It moves the air really well. I love that it is smart and was able to connected it to Alexa for hands free control. I'd highly recommend it to anyone thinking about purchasing a quality air purifier.

I initially bought this to control allergens and germs, Not only does it help with allergens and germs--it does more. Recently there was a brush fire near my home.I had left a window open in a closed room. The smoke smell was very strong and I was concerned about my smoke detectors going off. I put the air purifier the room that had been closed off and it cleared up the smoke smell quickly. There was no more smoky odor, no more choking smoke. It is definitely a great value! It has many uses, many options. I appreciate the fact I can control the lights and fan speed on the top of the unit. It is a convenient size that allows me to move it with no problems. I actually bought two, one for a second home. It is a great product!

Update 7/28/2005 So, I had 2 primary complaints about this unit: 1) The ability to automatically adjust to impurities in the air and 2) problems integrating with Alexa. I believed the connectivity issues were caused by the Vesync app/infrastructure itself and it appears I was right. It seems that the Vesync infrastructure itself has been improved a great deal and I haven't had a single communication failure or failed settings change in the last 2 or 3 months. Therefore, I'm raising my rating to 4 stars. The sensor for detecting impurities, and the subsequent AUTOMATIC increase in fan speed, is still a major issue. Even when I'm smoking a cigar in the same room as the unit, it rarely increases the fan speed on its own, unlike my 6-year-old Taotronics unit, which is very sensitive and even detects the smell (not smoke) of bacon I'm cooking on the far end of my 2000sqft house. I literally always have to manually intervene to set the fan speed to maximum. And at maximum speed, the filtering function is extremely effective. My friend, with extreme allergies and sensitivity to cigar smoke 100% agrees. On high, the air in the room is much fresher after just a few minutes at maximum speed. Update 10/23/2024 Summary: Do not buy Levoit air filters… at least not this one. It's junk. Yes, it filters a lot of air, but the Alexa/Wi-Fi integration is nonfunctional 95% of the time. In fact, when it DOES work, I'm surprised. That and the smoke sensor is nowhere near sensitive enough to operate on automatic. I can smoke a cigar within 5 feet of the unit and it has never gone past medium speed. New rating is 2 stars, and that's generous. After a couple of months of use, I find this unit very frustrating. It is almost always off-line and there is no way to fix it. I've tried unplugging it to reset the Wi-Fi connection, resetting my phone Wi-Fi connection, everything. I bought it because of the Alexa integration, but that is completely useless 95% of the time. I now have to use the app and I have to keep tapping the setting I want over and over until it finally takes effect. Most of the time I get a "request timed out" or "device off-line" message. And I've seen others complain about the same problem, so it's not just me. And I don't think VeSync is the problem because my toaster oven also uses VeSync and it works with Alexa 99% of the time. And if it doesn't, I reset the toaster oven and it fixes it. So the problem is the Levoit air filter system itself. I wish I could return it. ## Original review. Pros: Moves a ton of air Noise is not too bad for the volume of air it moves. The air moving across the fan blades is fine, it's the air moving through the filter that makes the noise. Alexa integration Cons: VeSync network is laggy Air quality detection is not very good Display mounted on the top where you can't see it unless you are right next to it. I bought this unit for my "cigar room." It is rated for 3X the square footage of my room and it really moves a lot of air. If you are close to it then it is obviously going to be noisy, so be realistic before complaining. Do you want a quiet or do you want it to move a lot of air? It filters really well, even though I don't have the "smoke filter" in it, and there is no doubt it's going to have a positive effect on the cigar smell. I have my unit about 3 or 4 feet off the floor because the cigar smoke goes up, not down, and it works much better that way. In fact I can see it drawing the smoke toward it from 5 feet away. For non-smokers, I'm sure on the floor is fine. However… The sensor to detect smoke and adjust is not very good at all. Depending on the cigar, I can be 5 feet away from the unit and it tells me the air quality is "good." Good? Really? I have an older Taotronics unit I bought 3 or 4 years ago that responds to the smoke just as well, even at its age, so I always have to change the speed manually, through Alexa (see complaints on that, below). Understandably, most people won't be happy with this, but I would be setting it to high anyway because I want it to filter as much smoke out of the air as it possibly can. I don't think any unit is going to be sensitive enough to do that. In fact, a sensitivity setting should absolutely be included on these units. As others have complained, Alexa tells me the unit is off-line way too much, but I think this is a problem with the VeSync network, not the unit itself. I have a toaster oven that also uses VeSync and it often behaves the same way. Anyway, even though it says it's off-line, it will usually respond 30 or so seconds later. For the most part, the response time is very laggy. Only once has it responded normally, within one or 2 seconds. But again, I blame VeSync. The display is kind of cool, but it's on the top where literally no one will see it unless they are right next to it. So, beyond using it for manual control, it's 95% useless. It's one of those "I wonder what the air quality is? I don't know, let me whip out my phone, open the app, log in and look. Or I have to get up and walk over to the machine." A side-mounted air quality digital display would have been a smart addition.

After 30 days of solid use is working well. Husband reporting much less allegens and improved sleep. Has reduced dust in the house by 90% -seriously, we leave doors open as much as possible in house and were dusting once a week -now do not have the dust buildup at all. Easy out of the box setup. I live in Florida and recently moved into a new home where construction is still ongoing, so air quality was a concern for me. I have been really impressed with this air purifier. It is quiet and incredibly easy to use, which I appreciate for daily use. What really stood out is how responsive it is. When I open the windows briefly in the morning, I can actually see the air quality change as the display turns yellow, and the purifier quickly adjusts and starts cleaning the air. I keep it on auto mode, and it does a great job managing everything on its own. The app is a bit basic and not the most intuitive, but it still gets the job done. Avant de faire l’achat, j’avais fait des recherches pour vérifier les recommandations des meilleurs appareils, et la marque Levoit revenait souvent au sommet des palmarès des purificateurs. J’ai été convaincu. Jusqu’à présent nous sommes tout à fait satisfaits. Ils sont efficaces et très silencieux. Le plus facile est de les mettre en mode automatique. Il faut savoir aussi qu’ils peuvent être contrôlés par une application (sur mon iPad et mon iPhone) qui offre des options supplémentaires. Nous avons 2 chats. Et nous avons des amis qui sont allergiques ! Et je suis moi-même atteint d’une maladie pulmonaire chronique et je constate déjà qu’il m’est possible de réduire ma médication, quoique je ne le recommande pas nécessairement ! Mais c’est juste une preuve, à mon avis, de l’efficacité de ces purificateurs. De plus, ce sont des appareils esthétiques qui s’harmonisent à n’importe quel décor et ne sont pas encombrants. Before making the purchase, I did some research to check the recommendations for the best devices, and the Levoit brand often came up at the top ! I was convinced. So far, we're completely satisfied. They're effective and very quiet. The easiest thing to do is set them to automatic mode. It's also worth noting that they can be controlled via an App (on my iPad and iPhone) that offers additional options. We have two cats. And we have friends who are allergic! And I myself have a chronic lung condition, and I've already noticed that I've been able to reduce my medication, although I don't necessarily recommend it! But that's just proof, in my opinion, of the effectiveness of these purifiers. Plus, they're aesthetically pleasing devices that blend in with any decor and aren't bulky. And, in my opinion, they're well priced. I'm not an influencer, but I would definitely recommend them!

Very pleased with my 400 air purifier. The first day of using it our house had lost its locked up winter smell. Watching it automatically increase in speed catching the cooking smells is incredible and it really works. Using it now for a couple of weeks its noticeably helped us with our dust & Spring allergies 👍 Answering some of the negative reviews. Yes the bottom come will come off easily if it hasn’t been LOCKED in place properly and I can hear an electrical hum on auto/ sleep modes at NIGHT, so I leave it on low speed when sleeping. I recommend it and am now looking at buying a smaller one just for our bathroom.

Voici plusieurs points positifs que j'ai relevés : _ De nombreuses fonctionnalités intéressantes et utiles comme la possibilité d'éteindre l'éclairage ou le mode nuit (je confirme qu'il est possible de dormir avec le purificateur d'air en fonctionnement dans la chambre). _ Le capteur de particules fines est un vrai plus ! (dommage qu'il ne soit pas sur tous les modèles de la marque) _ L'application Vesync est simple à utiliser et assez complète. Elle donne accès à plusieurs informations utiles telles que la durée de vie du filtre, la programmation de l'allumage ou de l'extinction, ainsi qu'un graphique de l'historique de la qualité de l'air. Elle permet de surveiller la qualité d'air même lorsque vous n'êtes pas chez vous... Je l'ai testé dans de nombreuses conditions, et il s'est toujours montré très efficace, même dans des pièces avec un grand volume. J'ai également apprécié sa compatibilité avec Home assistant, qui m'a permis d'accéder à des fonctionnalités supplémentaires comme l'envoi de notifications pour m'alerter de la dégradation de la qualité de l'air ou l'activation automatique de l'appareil si elle dépasse une certaine valeur. Les côtés moins appréciables : _ Le filtre est très onéreux (il peut durée plusieurs années ou seulement quelques mois selon la qualité de l'air ambiant).
