does it crimp hollow rivits?

It only works with hollow rivets, meaning the ones that have a shaft that snaps off at the specified tension, aka "poprivets". I drilled out about thirty 3/16 inch aluminum rivets and replaced the with 1/4 inch aluminum rivets and it did a great job.

Where everything else is made, for US consumption. China, land of manufacturing. Imagine that?

how thick metals can you rivet? I want to rivet 1/4" metal to reinforce the flood of a vw floor pand for seats and seat belts. I donot have a welder.

You are only limited by the length of the rivets that are available to you. I riveted some 1/8th angle to the frame on my golf cart for my battery box with 1/4 inch stainless steel rivets with no problem at all. You shouldn't have any problem reinforcing your floor pan.

Are the handles supposed to be out of line with each other?

They just look like that. Even looking at mine, they look like one is longer then the other, but when you put both handles down on a level base, the tool is perpendicular

Used to replace some boat rivets. Works great. After selecting correct hole size for rivets there are additional adjustments to be made that make them work better. Pay attention to instruction and experiment with how they’re set up, it’s fairly easy. Did about 30 rivets & worked great, can’t speak to long term/high volume use, seems built well.
