6.2 โ, built in navigation, apple CarPlay, Bluetooth, dvd and CD player Review: one nice function is the backup camera works right away - one could complain about the agree to notice but the unit works well. one nice function is the backup camera works right away, if you wire it direct and not through the serial data link , I purchased the iq5 which is a little slow to boot up Review: Their customer service is so garbage. As far as the product - They make you send all this stuff for a rebate but at the end they tell you cant get one. I will never buy another kenwood product ever. Their customer service is so garbage. As far as the product. It takes about a full minute or two to start up and it doesnt fit snug (2016 jeepwrangler) theres really nothing too special. I might even think about selling this and get an alpine or pioneer.

decent
knob too slippery and small, sat station list does not have graphics, glare on screen, the home button is actually the off button, manual sucks, have to go online to read it, no reply from company, almost as bad as pioneer which really sucks

Annoying Startup Warning Message
I just recently purchased the new "Kenwood DNX693S" model and installed on my vehicle today from a stereo shop, so my review is not based on any transaction from Amazon, but the actual product itself. Unfortunately just like how others have complained, I find the message that reads "Operating this product while driving could be distracting or dangerous if not done in a careful manner. When operating this product the driver's priority should be focused on obeying all traffic rules. You assume all risk of using this product." to be an extreme nuisance. I understand the reasoning behind this, but to not display the screen to normal menu mode until you press the "Close" button is horrible User Interface design. At least there should be an option that it turns off that menu screen and automatically closes after 10 seconds just like OEM cars that have built in navigation into their radio. I don't understand the reasoning behind this, as it creates a safety issue because now I have to take my eyes off the road to press the tiny "Close" button to see the menu which could result into an accident. The preference would be to allow the user to simply disable this menu option and you could add a notice on the screen that allows user to check a box that reads "by opting out that removes all liability from Kenwood..." or at least allow users to turn this message off in the settings. I really hope that Kenwood plans to update the Software on this radio as I would like to keep this radio in my car and was planning to purchase another exact same model for my other car, however with this annoying message on the screen and no option to turn it off automatically without requiring the user to press a button, I might just not purchase another same head and return the one I have and go with completely different company brand. Although this might seem like a minor issue for someone, but I'm not the only person complaining about this issue as I have read the reviews on Crutchfield, but I might be the only one taking the time out of his day to plead to update the Software and allow us to disable this message. If Kenwood would allow us to remove this annoying startup message automatically without having to press any close button, then I would increase the start rating, but until they do I can only give a 1 Star.

Diverse and complete
This stereo has EVERYTHING one can dream of a system. Although I did my research through Amazon it was cost effective to have my dealer have it installed. The review of the previous owner does have some merit however the screen is a warning for safety as any other navigation device. I love the fact that it is both Apple and Android compatible so my husband and I share our different music passions but it has more features I like for me. Speech recognition, front and rear cameras sensors for your engine and the dynamics of the engine which I check at those nice long red lights. The music sound quality is impeccable and the entire system with the bells and whistles is a product that transcends any I have owned in the past. In park mode and only park mode you can watch a DVD or movie. But it can be blue toothed to rear seats if you have little ones and you can still listen to your music in order or random fashion. Either using a CD, USB, CarPlay or android. Lots of thought went into this top of the line system and of course a learning curve. I previously owned the latest pioneer of 4 years ago that quickly outdated. But the reliability of GPS was still within ยผ of a block. It was a great stereo and updates available however no connectivity to my current iPhone. Lightening versus 30pin. (You may correct me). Once I read the start ups and details of the stereo particularly safety it is exceptional. Hands free, wheel control from sound volume accept or reject calls or vocal command. For my uses I find this to be the most intuitive and logical choice for my vehicle. From driving through town to long trips navigation is great there is a choice of two or even your phones navigation. Sound immaculate just with factory speakers but I don't need more. Parking has gotten easier and seizing the front end now even better no more bumper scratching! I had no idea so much could be packed in something so small yet here it is and for Siriys lovers, yes it has that capability too. I hope this helps and when I get my vehicle completely fetailed I will try to load photos. They don't do it justice. Your best bet is to research and find this model, you will see the many features it has to offer. I hope you will be as happy with yours as I am with mine!

nice! great sound great nav so many features
my gf liked my Pioneer nex 5000 so I got this for her chevy cruise I got the wiring harness and dash kit adds some serious $$ to the install if you are timid about cutting the plastic behind the radio pay a pro! I did the install myself and it was a bit scary to cut but .... the factory unit is single din with a double din display (certified junk) FYI// this is great I love the "KNOB" I have push button :( makes volume control so much easier garmin is garmin very slick and direct love this it has options to exact speaker size and location wow more audio tricks than needed but fun for us audio geeks back up cam is factory and fuzzy/ plan on getting a direct cam not one that runs through the factory harness the lan-10 harness seems daunting but directions are key and its easy once assembled its plug and play// iphone synched up and car play is good seems odd only one usb is for iphone when I accidently hit the other usb it said not for apple play oh well hit the right one and it was good going to have to mark that one for reference// makes calls reads text makes text plays music UPDATE added an audio pipe 1600w 5 channel amp and its incredible // good sounds now come from this cruze! The one caveat is that the cd is really hard to make work I can only use when I eject and push it back in then the controls come up but its like Kenwood does not want that feature used much // it is a pain hence 4 stars sound is far advanced over factory its like night and day and hd has so many stations it is great well worth the price will update if needed five channel amp is on the wish list
