Baby Merlin's Microfleece Baby Swaddle Transition Product

Here's are sleep story thus far. Our son was good at many things but sleep was not one of them. In his first few months he was often up all night. No, I do not mean multiple wakings, I mean basically one or two wake-ups and then he couldn't get him back to sleep as hard as we tried. Some night he slept only 1.5 hours total. We tried all sorts of things, some things worked a little. Swaddling sort of seemed to work a little maybe but it was hard to tell because even as a newborn he would break out of his velcro swaddles. Then our postpartum doula introduced us to the Miracle Blanket swaddle. That was harder to break out of and our son liked it better. Around 3 or 4 months he started sleeping in 1-2 hours stretches because of the swaddle which was a huge improvement. But still, being up every 1-2 hours isn't great in the whole scheme of things, right? Just before our son turned 6 months we started feeding him solid food and he started sleeping way better and things were looking up, food + swaddle was a winning combination but we had a problem: SWADDLE ADDICTION. He could not sleep AT ALL without the swaddle. Why was this a problem? Several reasons. First, I was very scared he's roll on his belly while swaddled and get stuck. Because of my fear of this we got a video monitor, but it still sort of gave me anxiety every night (even though he never actually did this). Also, he sort of had a love/hate relationship with the swaddle. He needed it to fall asleep but sometimes I felt like it was interfering with his ability to resettle himself when he woke. Also, since our son has eczema and you can't itch yourself when you are swaddled it seemed uncomfortable at times. Imagine how maddening that would be, to have an itch and be wrapped up! And no, there was no way to unswaddle him after he fell asleep without waking him. We tried one arm out many times as a transition, but no luck, we were in a bind. Until we met the Magic Sleep Suit. It works like a charm. Our son loved it from the start. He feels cozy but isn't wrapped up so he can re-position himself to resettle or scratch an itch. At 8.5 months sleeps totally through the night (9pm - 7:15am) on maybe 50% of nights! We put him in naked with just a diaper and overheating has not been a problem. It's AMAZING. I can relax at night knowing he's safe and he won't be stuck if he rolls. I don't feel horrible that he might have an itch he can't get at. He's so happy to get in it every night, he does this cute little cozy wiggle as we zip him up. My husband and I look at each other all the time and say, "wow, I can't believe we made it past the swaddle!" I had no idea how we were going to get him past the swaddle. The sleep suit is very nicely designed. With 2 zippers it's easy in and easy out. Much easier than many swaddles.

I bought this for my granddaughter. This is my daughter’s review: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ TOTAL. GAME. CHANGER. We cannot say enough good things about the Magic Sleepsuit. It has been an absolute lifesaver in our house. Our baby went from fighting sleep and waking herself up constantly to falling asleep faster and staying asleep longer — and that’s priceless. The gentle, cozy structure of the suit helps calm her little startle reflex without restricting her, and she looks so comfortable and snug in it. Bedtime has become so much smoother, and naps are more consistent too. It truly gives her that secure, “held” feeling while still being safe for independent sleep. Within just a few nights, we noticed a big difference. She settles quicker, sleeps more soundly, and wakes up happier. As new parents, getting longer stretches of sleep has made such a difference for our whole family. If you’re on the fence — get it. We wish we had started sooner. Absolute 10/10. 💛

My baby boy is extremely active always flailing his arms and legs around, and has an intense startle reflex. We started swaddling him with the miracle blanket b/c he could get out of all other swaddles. He is now 3 months and is getting too big to be swaddled, and wakes himself up grunting trying to get his arms free...yet I tried to let him sleep unswaddled and it was a nightmare. He was crying and up every hour unable to sleep. In comes in this magical sleepsuit, that a friend recommended to me. I ordered the yellow in small first. The first night I put him in it he was overtired and cranky, crying, and as soon as I zipped up the suit he was immediately calm. I put him down for bedtime, and in just few minutes he was off to dreamland. Amazing as it usually takes me an hour to get him down. The first night he woke his usual times, bed at 7pm, then up 2am and then 5am. When he woke up though he was calm and went right back to sleep which is unusual for him...usually he wakes up crying. The second night, he slept till 4:30, then he slept till wake up at 7:30. One less night feeding! Now, he is sleeping through the night!!! I know it is this suit. I heard him wake up and go right back to sleep after. To top it off, I have never been able to get him to nap in his crib, only his swing. Well I put this suit on him for morning nap just to see what would happen, he smiled, I laid him down in his crib and he happily took a nap for the first time ever in his crib! I cant believe it. He loves having his hands free but this suit makes him feel cozy...he always wants to be held for sleep. I now bought the blue in the large size as I want two of these to rotate, he is about 16lbs and fits into both fine, has room to grow into the large. I am so grateful to the woman that created this suit! It is made well, soft, and really does work! Happy mommy here! Most importantly...happy baby! I will be buying these for all my mommy to be friends now.

Seriously this was so worth the money! I read a lot of the positive reviews and hoped I would have a similar experience. My 4 month old hasn't been napping well because I no longer swaddle him in the day. He named 30 minutes almost to the minute and would startle and wake. He would wake tired and grumpy and it was horrible as he wouldn't want to be left in the crib to re-fall asleep. My friend told me about this suit as a transition from swaddling. I was so willing to try even though the price didn't make my husband happy. I told him $40 for my sanity was a small price to pay. The package arrived after my sons morning nap (of 30 minutes). I put him in the suit for his next nap. Of course he was adorable in this big suit, like man other reviews said. I couldn't help but smile. He napped for 3 hours!!!!! 3 hours!! Right there is was worth the money. his 3rd nap of the day he slept for 60 minutes! That night was the first night we ever let him sleep unsaddled. The night was horrible. My son could still reach his hands well to try and comfort himself. It was a disaster. I'm blaming a good part of that to his pacifier issues as well - although with a swaddle they weren't as bad. The second night was a complete turn around!! He slept the night waking once to nurse and then waking at his normal time in the morning!!! It was the second night he was out of our room. I'm sold and so happy for this suit. It's not a complete fix all, but I'd say 90% of a fixer! My son is 4 months old and 1 week. He is less than 2% in height and 25% in weight. So small. The suit fits him sell. The collar goes down nice and low as to not disturb the neck from moving and getting into the babies mouth. the arms and legs are open. I was thinking I would put socks on my son, but his feet actually don't even stick out! The arms are perfect going down to his wrists, but shortening when he brings his hands to his mouth. The fleece is very soft and great quality. I haven't washed it yet so not sure if that will change? Already after 2 days my son seems to realize as I put him in this suit he's getting ready to sleep. Kind of like starting to swaddle a baby, they know and start to calm down and relax a bit. The suit is not ridged. I worried the suit would be stiff, but it's not. It might be the warmth and weigh on the child that helps? Whatever it is it works. Not restrictive if you're worried about that. I'm able to put my son in this and nurse him and stick him in bed.

BABY SLEEP SUIT & MICRO-FLEECE SWADDLE ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (5 STARS OUT OF 5 STARS) Highly recommend this infant sleep suit for all babies who sleep best when swaddled securely and tightly. If your child rests most soundly when they are tightly bundled yet manage to wiggle their way out of their blanket swaddle, this microfleece sleepsuit is for you! My children have all loved being zipped up into this sleepsuit and have all seemed to find it cozy and comfortable. I’ve found that my kids all slept longer stints and more soundly when wearing this swaddle. They also fall asleep faster with less tossing and turning and uncomfortability prior to falling fast asleep. My son preferred solely wearing his diaper under the sleepsuit as an infant whereas my girls preferred to be in pajamas and then tucked into this magic sleepsuit. It provides the infants with a secure and tight fitting swaddle and almost acts as a weighted blanket for the child to optimize sleep. The only downside is the washing and cleaning of this product. We machine wash it along with other baby clothing however, we don’t dry it as it will tighten and shrink. It takes a solid 12 hours to fully air dry once machine washed so be mindful of this when doing laundry. The inside area by the legs and bottom region takes the longest to completely and fully dry, so we unzip the suit and hang it with the front flap open, once the wash cycle is complete, to ensure the inside dries completely. No one wants to be stuck without their child’s favorite sleep swaddle when bedtime rolls around, so be mindful when laundering.

Our little boy is a great sleeper and a great eater. This has caused him to get big and strong - fast. So strong in fact, that no swaddle can hold him :) This caused us to start researching what to transition him onto post swaddle. Research led us to the Baby Merlin. In short, the first time he wore it he found it pretty strange. It’s big and bulky and he looked like a tiny stay-puff marshmallow man. It didn’t put him to sleep right away however my wife’s and I giggling likely didn’t help :) I started trying to get him comfortable with it during daily naps. Incredibly the first nap he just kept sleeping and I woke him up for his next feed. As he started to fall asleep during the next feed I transitioned him back into the sleep suit and he slept soundly until I woke him up again. The sleep suit has been transformational for him and us. Pro’s *It’s literally magic - our little boy sleeps VERY well in the suit (we gambled and skipped his 11pm feed last night and we had to wake him at 6am). He slept from 9pm through to 6am at 3 months (previously we were doing a 6:30pm, 9pm and an ~11pm feed). He is now sleeping from 6:30pm through 6am. *Very easy to transition baby back into the crib after the feed (we never quite got our swaddle folding correct...) *Two little zippers are pretty smooth and quiet if you’re waking up to change/feed Cons *Getting in and out of the sleep suit is a little tricky if you need to change diaper/nappy in hopes the little person will fall back to sleep (this gets easier with practice/breaking in) *Could be a little hot if your house is kept really warm or you live near the equator... *Can take a little bit of time to dry post washing (you'll likely want to buy 2 so you have a backup Summary This is one of the best baby products we've purchased. Our situation was one where we greatly value our sleep for our relationship, our interactions with others, our work and our little boy. The sleep suit has allows us to sleep well, supporting us to be better for others and better parents. Our little boy is consistently happy and content as well. Champion product.

My 10 week old loves this sleepsuit and been sleeping like a champ! I bought a second to have backup in case she has accidents and my one complaint would be that the material and size is completely different from one color to the next! The yellow is huge on her and a towel like material while the pink fits her perfectly and feels like cotton! One says made in India and the other china. Overall great experience but if you like your suit and want to order another I would get the same exact one :) also don’t forget these suits are super warm so you want the room at 68ish - we have her only in her diaper too!

I never write reviews, but I feel I must for this! I bought this for my 2 mo who was waking every 2 hrs at night. He’s now 3 months and he usually sleep for 4-6 hr stretches at night! Absolutely love it and I know he’s super cozy. Highly recommend.
