Set after the events of the hit TV series, this follow-up film focuses on meth cooker Jesse Pinkman (Aaron Paul) and his attempts to put his criminal past in the rear view mirror. That proves to be easier said than done, however, as Jesse's efforts to come up with the cash he needs to procure a new identity are intercut with revealing flashbacks to what set him on this path. With Jesse Plemons, Krysten Ritter, Robert Forster, Jonathan Banks, Charles Baker, Matt Jones, and Bryan Cranston. 122 min. Widescreen; Soundtrack: English. Region Free Review: A great alternate series finale (Spoilers from Breaking Bad) - El Camino is essentially an alternate series finale set and shown from Jesse's point of view. It picks up with him driving off after being freed from the Nazi compound (which was the last we saw of him). Then the story is told partly through flashbacks, showing his imprisonment and (mostly) interactions with Todd (played by the returning Jesse Plemmons) and partly in the present, as he tries to get out of New Mexico. Not only do we get cameos from Breaking Bad characters with Krystin Ritter, the aforementioned Jesse Plemmons, Jonathan Banks, Robert Forrester, and yes even Bryan Cranston making a cameo, we also get the return of Skinny Pete and Badger. We also get the definitive word on Walter White's ultimate fate. For those who get the blu-ray set, there are about an hour's worth of extras including a making-of feature, a gag reel, and deleted scenes. Plus, there is a commentary track on the film and storyboard sequences. A good amount for what is included, making the blu-ray a good pick up over just streaming. And, the A/V quality is great. Ultimately, it offers a satisfying alternate finale for the series, keeping true to what came before yet still telling an original story. It does take a bit of suspension of disbelief as all the people are older in real life, but are playing the same characters at the same time that the series aired. Aaron Paul does not look much different than he did, but Jesse Plemmons not only looks a lot older, he gained a lot of weight since BB went off the air. That aside, it is a great story and minor things like that are not a big deal. I definitely recommend it for any fans of BB. Review: Remember His Name - Awesome movie! Perfect ending to the series, with a lot of the main characters returning to put the icing on the cake!

Nice
I was sad as I watched the last episode of Breaking Bad, but then was told about this movie, and the prequel, Better Call Saul. So, I went out and purchased this movie. Unfortunately, I discovered that two of my first less expensive or used DVD purchases of this title were Region 2 formatted and would not play in the US, which is Region 1. After purchasing a new Region 1 copy, for 20.00!!!, I finally was able to watch the movie which I found was a very good film, carrying on the Breaking Bad storyline, and even staring some of the main Breaking Bad characters. The only downside, was the movie itself was rather short, and should have not only been longer, but could have inspired an actual new series Post... Breaking Bad.

Ein schöner Nachtrag für Breaking Bad-Fans, welcher einige zusätzliche Einblicke liefert. Jedoch nur zur Abschluss und nicht zum Einstieg in die Serie geeignet.

A good companion piece to the fantastic Breaking Bad show. It literally continues where the last season left off.
