My favorite pair of socks. They will be yours, as well, if you buy them!
First off, I love these socks. This is a pair Iโve ordered. Iโve ordered several styles and many of the same style. Iโve been wearing these socks for yearsโand they last that long. Secondly, I love this company. Iโve returned two pair that got snagged and they promptly credited me for a new pair with free quick shipping. Thirdly, yes, they look expensive. After owning a pair youโll not think twice about that price based on what you get. You get the lifetime guaranteeโwhich they stand behindโand you get the amazing quality. I took a gamble on this brand the first time when going to Colorado in the winter. I thought I may need quality, warm socks. I didnโt realize how it would impact me. After returning, I threw away just about every other sock I owned. I kept dress socks, for a while. I then proceeded to order several pairs. Then more as time went on. I worked in the field and didnโt realize that my previous socks sucked. I would get sweaty and stinky and blistery. My socks were soaked the end of the day. That is, until Darn Tough. It was amazing when I realized that it didnโt just keep my feet warm in Colorado, it kept my feet comfortable in the central Texas summer heat (110F) walking through mud and swamps! My feet didnโt cramp from being cramped in my boots all day. I donโt feel the stitches or seems. Iโm telling you, they could call these socks โDarn comfortableโ and they would be telling the truth in that regard, as well! Yeah, I know, it sounds crazy, but from that moment on, merino wool has been a favorite of mine, and no other socks will do. They stay comfortable, they donโt itch and my socks stay in place and they are rugged but soft. Seriously. Iโm not paid to say this, I didnโt get anything discounted or free, but I really love these socks. Iโve ordered pairs for my wife, my mom, mother in law, aunts, friends, etcโฆ I havenโt heard one person complain about them, but have heard all of them say great things. Iโve been asked to help them order more, many times. This really is my goto recommendation for socks and a sock company. Iโm not sure which is more tough, but both the product and the company are darn tough on their quality and desire to please the customer. I think this company is fantastic, and I bet you will, too! Most highly recommend (not just this model but the whole brand). If this review was helpful, please click the button saying so. Thanks!

Review update after wearing the socks 7+ years.
I learned about these sock while researching long distance hiking. They are very comfortable and durable socks. I traditionally purchased Gold Toe socks over the past 30 + years. I purchased 3 pair of these socks to try and I absolutely loved they way they felt when wearing them. They draw themselves up around your foot for a nice snug fit. They do not bunch up around your toes in a boot and do not slide down your leg but very little. I can't say enough good things about this sock and will be buying more to replace my Gold Toe socks. They are very pricey for a pair of socks. I know inflation and the Tariff issues are making things more expensive as of late. The warranty on them is unconditional, which almost no company does now days. Review Update 7 years later: I purchased three pair of these socks in 2018 and have had them 7 years now. I figured I would write an update on how they have fared over the years, including hiking the Appalachian Trail in 2022. They do wear over time as they are washed. I noticed the fluff and padding tend to diminish over time and become thin and do show signs of wear. As they wear out and the material begins to thin, it reveals a sock under the layers that is thin and reminds me of compression socks that the elderly wear. The synthetic material also degrades over time. I noticed over time after washing them, the socks begin to become somewhat stiff and less pliable. The wear patterns for me are on the bottom of the heel and ball of the foot. This includes a small bit of wear in these same areas that go up the side of the sock slightly. When I was hiking the Appalachian Trail, I wore a pair of Injini socks as a base and put the Darn Tough socks over these socks. Between the two, they did a fantastic job at preventing blisters wholly on the foot and between the toes. I had one blister that needed treatment during the first week, which was small. Afterward, no more blisters. I still wear these socks with a pair of work boots most of the time. I have a good solid pair of leather work boots that are name brand and last 6+ years. I often clean the boots and wash the insoles on a regular basis to keep them fresh. I recently noticed an odor coming from my boots that prompted investigation. My feet sweat in these boots and the socks absorb the sweat, which began to have an odor over time (plainly, they stink). I have not figured out if it is the socks or the boots over time that caused this. I have a boot dryer that I use daily and no longer wear these socks two to three days at a time. I change them daily now because they are so thin. I think the thinning and degradation of the synthetic material over time may have had something to do with diminishing the ability to prevent odor. I am still keeping the star rating at 5 because I have not found a sock that matches this quality. Not to mention, I still have not worn a hole in the sock yet. I do think in the coming months or years a hole will develop, at which time, I will put the lifetime guarantee to the test. Overall, I still wear these socks on the regular and have bought family members a few pairs for their birthday to try out. I am planning on purchasing a few more pair of these socks in the future for myself since they last so long. If I ever get a hole in them and go through the claim process, I will update this review with the results. In the meantime, just know you are getting a very good pair of socks if you buy the Darn Tough brand.

Nice Socks
I recently purchased the Darn Tough Merino Wool Boot Sock Full Cushion, and I have to say, these socks have completely exceeded my expectations. From the moment I put them on, I could feel the quality. The fit is perfectโsnug but not tightโand they stay in place all day, no matter how much I move around. The merino wool is incredibly soft, making them comfortable even during long wear. What I love most is their warmth without being overly thick or bulky. These socks are perfect for all kinds of weather, keeping my feet cozy in the cold but also breathable enough for warmer days. The full cushioning adds an extra level of comfort, especially for long hikes or long hours on my feet. They provide excellent support and reduce foot fatigue, which is a game-changer for anyone who spends a lot of time on their feet. Durability is another big win. After several washes, these socks have held up perfectlyโno pilling, no signs of wear, and the fit hasn't changed at all. Plus, the lifetime warranty from Darn Tough gives me peace of mind knowing that if anything happens, theyโve got my back. Overall, these are hands down the best socks Iโve owned. If youโre looking for a durable, comfortable, and reliable pair of socks for any activity, I highly recommend the Darn Tough Merino Wool Boot Sock Full Cushion!

If you have Blisters. Then you need Darn Tough
Ever since I started working in Safety Toe boots for work I had almost constant blisters on my feet every other shift. I tried many things to fix this. I tried other boots, got insoles, tried other insoles. I found a temporary solution in sock liners that worked for a short time. Then I had to use lekoutape to prevent blisters. Then that work around started to fail. Did some research and Darn Tough came up. Decided to try them out and by some miracle they worked! I am now on week 2 or 3 and no blisters of any sort of any foot pain when almost after every shift my feet would give me trouble. The material of the socks is so comfortable and I believe the properties of the wool wicking moisture away from the skin I what stopped my blisters. So if you have problems with blisters and need a easy solution. Darn tough would be my answer and best recommendation. I honestly don't see myself ever buying any other sock ever again and already ordered more from Darn Tough Vermont's website. Do yourself and more importantly do your feet a favor and treat yourself to Darn Tough socks. It's pricey but well worth it.

Awesome quality, lifetime warranty, hard use footwear.
Great quality, you will get your money's worth or you'll get it back. Simple. I will say though these are for HARD use people mostly, sure they are great and comfortable but people who really get after it will get the most benefits for sure. Treat your feet. They deserve it. Hard work, hiking, cold weather camping or any hard outdoors stuff you NEED a few pair. Lifetime warranty- for socks. How can you go wrong?

Great work socks
I love these socks. I wear boots and am on my feet 10-16 hours a day. Theyโre comfortable and last a very long time. Keep the moisture down with adequate padding. Spend the money, you wonโt regret it.

Caution: Hyperhidrosis causes socks to shed and thin (I think)
It is the best fitting sock ever crafted. I know socks are already seamless, but this is seamless+++. It feels like a premium fit, at least for my 9.5 menโs size feet. Plus, they have a lifetime warranty. I do not know how lenient they are personally, but they do seem 80% lenient on their policy. And did I mention that the main part of that policy is sending in your torn up socks and getting a new pair for free? Havenโt had a torn up sock yet, after 2 years, but I will be sure to use that. For the cons: I have a mild case of hyperhidrosis, or excessive sweating in the feet area. I do not know if this is the main cause, but everytime I take off the socks after a long day, there will be half-a-pinky-sized fluffs of wool coming out of it, and some being stuck between my toes. I thought it was normal at first, but it was constant. Idk how many wears each sock was cycled through since I had 4 pairs, but they still shed to this day. Because of that fact, I returned to the tried and true Kirkland signature brand of merino wool socks. For a reference, the Kirkland brand do not shed nearly as much as these Darn Toughs do, maybe like 20% as much. But all in all, I stopped wearing my darn toughs for a couple month now because of that fact. But hey, everytime I do wear them, they feel super premium again. On the other hand, the soles of my socks are starting to noticeably thin. Once again, seems like a great replacement warranty thing that Iโll have to check out, give it a few more years.

Lifechanging socks!
I always have had issues with cold feet especially in the winter. Every other sock I have ever owned, my feet would always be freezing. These darn tough socks actually are able to keep my feet warm but also very comfortable. The material feels high quality and you can't beat a lifetime warranty! The price is high but I think it is justified for the quality and durability
