Made much sturdier than old models from the 80's and 90's. Easy to use.
This was a gift for my husband. He said that microwave popcorn wasn't good for you. The Poplite popcorn popper worked great, and our popcorn was ready in minutes. Now we just need to remember what seasonings we used. It's easy to take apart to wash it. This is made better that our old air popcorn popper. Our old one was difficult to snap together.

Easiest and fastest way to make popcorn at home!
I was surprised at how quickly this popper pops 9 cups of fresh popcorn right into a bowl! It works as advertised and couldn't be easier to use. Now that I'm restricted from salt this is how I can consume excellent popcorn and add my own non-salt toppings. I didn't mind paying a bit more for the version with an on/off switch and a metal measuring cup. It's likely easier to avoid a bent or melted measuring cup than to replace it down the road. Highly recommended!

Good Basic Popper at a Reasonable Price
Basic and functional. Doesn't take up a lot of space and pops a large bowl of popcorn (see photo). Pops almost all of the corn kernels, is easy to clean, sleek design, pops corn in a few minutes. I haven't used the butter melt cup on top and probably won't. It doesn't have an on/off switch so you have to plug it in and unplug each time, which I found odd, but maybe that's typical for corn poppers? The top DOES get hot, so let it cool before removing.

So simple a child could do it.
Great little popcorn maker for everyday snacking. The Presto PopLite is super easy to useโjust add kernels and in a couple of minutes youโve got a big bowl of fresh popcorn. I like that it uses hot air instead of oil, so itโs a healthier option, and the popcorn comes out light and fluffy with very few un-popped kernels. I prefer to melt the butter without using the built in cup but that is personal preference. Cleanup is basically nothing, which is a huge plus. Itโs lightweight and doesnโt take up much counter space either. Perfect for movie nights or quick snacks.

Easy to use and better than microwave popcorn!
So easy to use! Why did I wait so long to purchase an air popper? I used microwave popcorn for years. After getting this air popper, I threw out all remaining microwave popcorn bags and will not go back. The popcorn taste much better, fresher. The butter melt cup on top works great to put the butter on the popcorn. Super easy to clean and does not take up much space on our counter. Highly recommend.

Amazing machine
This air popper is my first and it has exceeded my expectations by far. Its reliable, pops all the kernels and you hardly have to clean. Worth every penny.

Maybe defective? And Troublesome
Edit at the bottom. It pops popcorn. If thatโs all you need then itโs okay. My two star for this is because of the inconveniences and hassles. The minor one is how the measuring cup/machine needs have to have a certain amount of kernels when popping, otherwise the kernels get blown out of the spout. You canโt do a small batch if you wanted to. The machine either needs to have a less powerful fan or have a taller heating tube so the kernels donโt rise so high when popping that they fly out. Once popped then they are light and big enough to catch air to escape. Which would make sense. But, why have a machine that makes a mess and ends up with too many kernels in the serving bowl at the bottom. Wasteful My other issue is the measuring cup itself. This issue deserves a 1 star. The measuring cup doubles as a spot to melt butter, very cool and neat. The butter should be room temp when doing it, not refrigerated. However, my issue with this is that the hot air flows past the measuring cup handle. The cup does not seal against the clear cover and so the handle of the cup will get extremely hot. I find this wrong and somewhat of a dumb design. Iโm sure there is an explanation for this from the company as to why it is that way, but it is a hazard nonetheless. If the reason is so you leave it alone til it cools, leaving time for the butter to melt, it isnโt in the instructions. Burning my fingers while using the product as it was intended is not okay. I know first world problems. But donโt get this machine, itโs messy enough and slightly dangerous that itโs not worth the trouble. They reinvented the wheel here and decided to add the feature of burning you while they were at it. Edit: I changed my rating to a three, it was two. The reason for the change is because I am using it differently enough for it to work better. In the beginning of a โpopcorn cookโ I will leave the butter melter top off and place the top back on once about 4-8 kernels has popped. That way it doesnโt shoot the kernels out as much. At the end of the cook you will need to either try the lid off again or have a towel in front to reduce the airflow in order for the kernels not to fly out. And also, donโt use it to melt butter, itโs still not a smart idea. Youโll burn you fingers. This advice here is in no way a recommendation, itโs just what Iโve had to do in order to not have so many kernels in the popcorn bowl. This advice is also most likely against the manufacturers guidance and recommendations. Do not take my statements as advice.

Presto Makes Popping Popcorn Perfection!
Popping Popcorn is easy and Presto has made it Perfect. Has 1-2 kernels that doesn't get popped per 1/2 cup, never burns popcorn and doesn't require oils to pop. Be prepared to be amazed how much popcorn will be made with only a 1/2 cup of kernels, use at least a 3.7 liter bowl to 4 liter bowl that is about 16.9 cups or about a gallon container. I used real butter melted in the microwave and salt to flavor the popcorn in the bowl, never put the butter in the air popper. I would paid extra money for a Stainless Steel model if Presto made them. Quality is first rate and much better tasting than the microwave popcorn. Doesn't have a switch to turn it on and off, which I would prefer, no chemical smells come from the unit at all, very happy with this purchase.

I RECOMMEND IT
Awesome popcorn popper. Works as described. Popcorn some times gets stuff once they really get popping which requires you to unclog the popcorn to prevent burning.

Excellent popcorn maker
My 30-year old Sunbeam popcorn maker finally died and I replaced it with this one. I loved that Sunbeam because it made good popcorn and I only had to hold back the popcorn in the chute with a wooden spoon to keep it from spitting out unpopped kernels. This Presto is much better. I still use the wooden spoon at the very beginning to let the popped kernels accumulate in the chute, then the weight of those kernels keeps the unpopped ones in the chamber until the very end when almost all the popcorn is finished popping. I then use the spoon again to hold back the last few before unplugging the device. The few remaining kernels then pop and I dump them out. Others have commented that they wished there was an on/off switch. I don't find this to be an issue at all as you still have to plug and unplug the popcorn maker unless you're leaving it on your counter all the time. It takes effectively zero effort so no complaints from me. The clear chute has remained clean and fully transparent through numerous uses. It might discolour over time, but so far so good. I'm careful to leave the chute on the unit while it cools to avoid the risk of deforming the hot plastic. This is recommended in the manual. The popcorn seems to be fluffier than my old unit made, and there are far fewer unpopped kernels, plus it's very fast so that's why I give it 5-stars. One minor quibble is that if you wind the cord around the cord holder, which is a good idea because it fastens the chute to the body to prevent accidentally falling off onto the floor with possible damage, then the stiff cord wants to remain coiled. When you plug it in, there's tension as the cord wants to recoil and that pulls and rotates the unit because the feet aren't grippy enough on my polished granite countertop. This causes it to rotate so it might not point into the bowl. But, you're supposed to be supervising it anyway so again, no big deal. I just smooth out the cord before using it. Will it last 30 years like my old Sunbeam? I won't be around to ask my heirs. ๐

No se desperdician granos.
Tener en cuenta que se necesita un recipiente con la suficiente capacidad para recibir las palomitas. Me gustรณ que todos los granos se cocinan y las palomitas salen bastante infladas.
