Marilyn Monroe had Good Taste in Soaps
This vintage soap is very nice. I can see why Marilyn Monroe loved it. It gives a strong aroma therapy when in use, adding to the bathing experience. Dial soap used to have the same strong effect on me, but it seems to have weaken throughout the years. During my first shower with LifeBoy, I lathered up twice because the experience was so pleasent. The bar, to my surprise, hardly showed it's been used. I will consider buying again. *For those of you confused over LifeBoy, the soap rating is a 10. This is a 3 bar order, not 10 bars. *I have another favorite soap I found on Amazon. It is Patchouli with Lavender Oil, made by Sunaroma. UPDATE - December 19, 2025 - UPDATE In my research of this wonderful soap I found out, when movie star Marilyn Monroe used LifeBoy soap it was made with a totally different formula. It was a harsh smelling carbolic soap, designed mainly to kill germs. Other stars made comments about Marilyn along the lines of, "She reaked of LifeBoy soap." Hopefully, she learned to only use the earlier version at night before bedtime. I love the new updated LifeBoy. Curiosity caused me to buy a bar of Carbolic soap. All I did was partially open the wrap. The smell is awful, and powerfully mediciny, and has continued in strength for months now. There is nothing flattering about this antibiotic formula. I will never bath with it. I've placed it beside my Ninja Slushie machine. I haven't seen a bug near it yet.

Forgot what it was like to actually be clean back in the day
Absolutely awesome! Has a wonderful smell that lasts all day long.. the scent is not feminine or masculine just clean.. honestly I forgot what it was like to use a real barrel soap that cleaned you without chemicals and terrible ingredients embedded in it.. think three bars cost me nine dollars.. I forgot what it felt like to be actually clean! Washed my hair with the soap and it got rid of everything to the point I couldn’t even rub my fingers through it!! 10 star review!!!

I love this soap!
I LOVE this soap. I read that this was the soap Marilyn Monroe used but it was described as smelling a bit “strange”. I have POTs and am perimenopausal (but have always been sweaty). I have always been self conscious about being sweaty and body odor. I have sensitive skin and scented soaps often make my skin worse. This soap is amazing and now I will not use anything else. No weird body smells, and helps to control sweat. It fights fungus and bacteria. And it doesn’t smell weird-it smells clean.

Decent soap. A bit unusual
I haven’t seen Lifebuoy soap in local stores for quite awhile. Thought I’d give it a try. Big red bar but shaped with a concave side that makes it easy to use. Tends to dry out my skin. Lather is average. Not much fragrance. If it was convenient to purchase locally I might try it again in the future but not worth the extra effort to order.

not a fan small bars for such a big price. the scent is grapefruity and not lasting. nice squeeky clean feeling but that doesnt last long for me. i got it out of my system but i'm sticking with the body washes and scrubs.

Antigamente este sabonete era muito usado pelas suas propriedades anti-bacterianas. Infelizmente, parece que perdeu um pouco da sua eficácia, mas apesar de tudo, continua a ser um excelente produto. Recomendo.
