**Q: can this use an active antenna?**
A: Yes.  The antenna provided with it is an active antenna.

**Q: Why the neo-6m that i bought it is really a 5m or 5q?. at power up, it sent the real module version.**
A: Perhaps it was a knock off - you can lookup the manufacturers spec sheet which will have labeling descriptions within to help you spot a “fake”

**Q: Is this a genuine neo 6m that can be programmed via ublox u-center?**
A: Yes, the u-center software can be used for this.

**Q: How can I receive coordinates from this module if I am in a field, far apart from it, and with no internet access?**
A: The module transmits NMEA-0183 data sentences.  You can connect an Arduino (code examples on the internet), or a PC using a TTL to serial USB adapter.  There are PC programs, including Maps built-into Windows 10 that can decode this data and display location on a map.  I provide Visual Studio code examples for this in my book, which a little digging on Amazon will locate for you.
