Works as advertised
Seems like the propane will always run out in the middle of the night. Replaced the manual valve with this and it works great. I used propane teflon tape on the connections and have no leaks at all. Well worth the peace of mind when camping in the mountains where it gets chilly at night. No more waking up to a cold camper and having to go outside to switch tanks.

Does not function as it should/ETA it was not the regulator's fault.
First, the compression adaptors are either glued or red locktited in. They should just be in the box so the end user can choose which fitting they need, 1/4" pipe or 1/4" compression. Next, I hooked up one tank, turned it on and switched the lever to that side. It worked fine with no gas going to the line with no tank. I switched hoses and the red indicator did not go away but gas was leaking through to the hose with no tank. If the idea is to be able to remove an empty tank to refill it, this doesn't work. I will be sending it back and hopefully getting one that works. ETA: I received the second one and it did the same thing. I started wondering if the failure was the fault of the regulator or something else. I had a 60" hose on the one side so I could hook to a big external tank. I swapped that hose for a 15" and the regulator works fine now. I can only guess the longer run didn't allow for sufficient pressure to build fast enough to shut the valve to the other hose. Bummer because I like having the longer hose but the regulator does appear to be working as it should. Four stars due to not being able to work with the longer hose.

it has a BRACKET
i got this to replace the crappy camco changeover regulator my trailer came with. it was literally ZIP TIED to the post because they apparently don't come with something as basic as a MOUNTING BRACKET. not only that, but if you changed it over and took off your dead tank, you could smell a teeny bit of gas coming out the other end. idk how old it was, but yikes! this guy has neither of those problems, even tho i put the bracket on the wrong side of the bar at first LOL. it's a solid unit, one of the bigger trailer regulators i've seen. as shown, im using it with two 90° tank hoses from gasgear for use with tank pressure gauges. excellent combo! don't forget the PTFE tape, and check for leaks!!! i legit changed this out while camping on the desert easter weekend LOL. it's super easy to change out!

Works Great but Long Term Will Tell a Better Story
I needed to replace a Fairview auto changeover propane valve, That one was not quite two years old and already failed. It no longer accurately displayed the current fill state of the active propane bottle. Worse yet it may have been drawing from both bottles concurrently... Found this one and decided to give it a try. So far the valve is working perfectly. The only difficulty I experienced was with the installation. I had to replace one of the factory installed inlet connectors with the 90 degree fitting from the failed valve. The factory installed connectors are very difficult to remove. There is either some connection paste used or they tighten to 1,000,000 foot pounds. Once I was able to remove and replace the connector everything went smoothly. Time will tell the story of how long this will last but at this juncture I would certainly recommend.

Replaced a recalled regulator, easy install.
Purchase this to replace a regulator that was recalled by the RV manufacture, Keystone. This was much cheaper than trying to take it back to the dealership and leaving it there for a week for them to jerk around. Very simple to install

Extremely well made.
I ended up not needing this and returned it, but I'm letting everyone know that if you need a 2-stage changeover for your RV setup, this one is very well made, heavy and high quality. If my 2-stage does fail in the future, I will definitly buy this again.

Solid quality but size counts
This is a solid and quality built product. The manufacturer supplies it with pigtails and without the pigtails. I bought the latter version planning to use my existing connectors. I now recommend buying it with the pigtails or buying pigtails as a separate item. The reason is there are 2 types of connector the 1/4" Male NPT, and/or the 1/4" inverted male flare. They look the same but they are not. Newer regulators like this one seem to have the 1/4" inverted male flare so my old pigtails must be ones that use the 1/4" Male NPT because they won't fit. You probably wont know what size your old ones are so why not just buy new pigtails of the correct size when you order the regulator and be connected in a fraction of the time? If I had done this the job would have been done in about 15 minutes. There may be an adapter to convert one type to the other but the more connections you have the more likely you could have leak. When working with propane it is better and safer to do it right the first time. So double check before you order. Size matters.

Works well, be sure to get the right pigtails.
Like other reviewers who needed to change the fittings for different pigtails, I needed to remove one of the fittings to adapt another hose. Again, like the others, a good amount of heat applied right to the fitting, BEFORE even trying to remove it worked well. A couple of minutes with a propane torch and the fitting came out easily. The regulator works well and even produced a better flame on the RV stove than the 34 year old one it replaced. That one had a lot of wax build up in it from so many years of use. This was a good choice in my view.

RV 2 stage regulator
I liked that it was practically identical to my original one but additionally it has a removal cover. I didn’t like that brute force was needed to remove my old one and I couldn’t have done it alone. Also my pigtails did fit it but only after removing the nut connector and then inserting it directly into the unit. However, I just found out here that the price has been reduced by approximately $7 and I am not happy about that since I just bought this recently within the last month!
