Great UPS !!!
This unit has been in service for 2-1/2 years now. Still working perfectly. Power is lousy where I live. I get brownouts, flickering on/off and complete outages. The unit handles it perfectly. It has been completely drained a handful of times. Still functioning perfectly. I would not hesitate to purchase another one.

Wonderful Battery Backup
I've bought APC battery backups for years to plug my computer and WiFi into. My old one was on the way out, and I needed one right away. I ordered this and got it the next day. It works well, has surge protector slots, and is quiet. Hopefully it will be quiet when the power goes out as well. Installation was easy: attach the battery and plug into the outlet. And it was priced less than if I went to my local business supply store and purchased the same thing. Thank you!

I bought this model 8 years ago
I bought this model eight years ago. It’s worked beautifully for almost all that time. For about a year, it would sound the alarm, I would reset it and it would be fine 5 months. The battery life is excellent. It finally bit the dust yesterday. It kept screaming at me and would not reset. I am replacing it with the same one since the battery was only $14 less than a brand new unit. I definitely I got my money’s worth!

A small unit designed to protect your computer during power failures
This will save a lot of wear and tear on your computer if you live somewhere where you have frequent power disruptions, if you install it properly, and are aware of its limitations. It is a small unit and its main purpose is NOT to keep you running for extended periods of time, but rather to allow your computer to shut down gracefully if there is a sustained power outage of more than a few minutes, and to continue to function normally in the phase of brief outages and brown outs. You need to install an accompanying software onto your computer (PowerChute) and set it up so that if the power outage lasts more than a couple of minutes your computer will go through its normal shutdown. If you have your monitor and a desktop plugged in the battery will keep it running for maybe ten or fifteen minutes. I have mine set up so that if the power failure is more than three minutes, it tells my computer to go through a normal shutdown. It will first close any open files and it will prevent the power failure from causing corruption of your hard drive. It comes with a specialized cable that will connect the battery to a USB port on your computer through which it tells your computer to shut down. And it will definitely do those things very well. Don't think though that this will keep your computer running for hours or anything like that.

Exactly what you need to keep your network up during outages
Bought this specifically to keep my router and modem running during power outages and it does the job perfectly. Living in Texas where grid reliability can be unpredictable, having a UPS on networking gear is just common sense — and this APC unit has already proven its worth multiple times. The 600VA/330W capacity is more than enough to power a typical router and modem setup, and the runtime is genuinely useful rather than just a few seconds of buffer. You get enough time to either wait out a brief flicker without your connection dropping, or ride out a longer outage and stay connected for a meaningful stretch. For anyone working from home, that continuity can save a lot of headaches. When the power went out during a recent storm, the UPS kept my network up long enough to keep my kids entertained until the power came back on (30-45 minutes later). Seven outlets is a nice bonus — 5 with full battery backup and surge protection, and 2 that are surge-only — so you can protect additional gear beyond just your networking equipment. The USB charging port is a handy extra touch. Setup is completely plug-and-play with no configuration needed. APC is a trusted name in UPS gear and the build quality reflects that. The battery is user-replaceable down the road (model APCRBC154), which extends the lifespan well beyond a disposable budget unit. For the price, the peace of mind alone makes this a no-brainer.

Excellent Product
Excellent product. The battery life is very powerful. The cable length is exactly what we needed. The display is bright; and lights up very well. The power management is very powerful; and easy to use. There is no odor to it. The software is excellent to use.

Great back up 120 volt power supply for power outages.
This company is famous for good products. I bought this one to operate my wifes recliner when the power goes off. The little 9 volt system that came with the recliner always had a dead battery when the power went off. This device is big enough to power more than just a recliner. It stays plugged up so it is always at full charge. Tested with two recliners and lamp all at the same time and functioned as needed.

Avoid a catastophic system collapse completely.
Purchased to provide consistent power for my home network and was live tested within 3 days of implementation when we had fluctuating power in my area. Performed perfectly and kept my network active the entire time (15 minutes) which would have normally collapsed saving me days and many hours of rebuilding! No question for me that it proved itself under ings live fire and lived up to the hype. There's no way I'd build now without one!!!

Seems to be good quality
Very easy to install. Not power outages yet so I can't report on how well it will work.

Works as advertised, buy higher capacity than required for best runtime and to avoid alarms
The 600VA model of this UPS is suitable for keeping network equipment (only) online for extended periods of time, or keeping a typical computer with monitor running long enough to save your work and shut down. The UPS includes 5 power outlets that are battery protected + an additional two that are surge protected only. Three of the battery protected outlets are well-spaced to accommodate power bricks. There is also a 1.5A@5V USB port which is also battery protected. Build quality seems good, and there are two cut-outs for wall mounting (and a template provided). The battery is standard UPS size and easily replaceable. The flexible portion of the power cable measures just over 60” in length; the flexible portion of the included USB cord measures just over 77” in length. I’m using this UPS to keep my NAS powered up in case of power interruptions. I connected the two together using the included USB cable, and the NAS knows the battery condition of the UPS, and will shut itself down when battery level is becoming critical. The UPS provides uninterrupted power during simulated power outages (i.e. when I unplug the cord), and my NAS is unaffected, aside from logging the event (“UPS on battery power”). With four hard drives in the NAS, my NAS predicts 55 minutes of runtime from a full charge. I’ve had similar APC UPSs in the past – note that if you are approaching capacity, they will beep almost non-stop, so make sure you buy one with plenty of spare capacity – this also buys you additional runtime during power outages. Overall, I’m happy with the performance for the price.
