Great adapter for USB keyboard
It was a great adapter for a USB keyboard. It worked great and also has a pass through charging port so you can charge the iPad while plugged into the keyboard. The only issue I ran into was that my usb keyboard with led lights did not work correctly. My guess is that the extra power to run the lights messed it up. However all my other usb keyboards without lights worked just fine.

It works with my DAC
I bought it so I can use my DAC and headphone amp (Fosi ds2) on my iphone. It works perfectly and I can also charge my phone while listening to music. The charging speed is slower than connecting cable directly to my phone.

Completely my fault…
I bought this to connect a microphone to my iPhone 15 pro max but didn’t see that it wasn’t a usb c adapter but Instead a lightening port adapter. Not compatible at all.. now if I wanted to use it, I would have to buy another adapter just for that.. But for anyone who still has an iPhone with old cable charger input, this will work perfectly for you! Seems to a good built adapter that connect later to your phone easily!

decent iPad USB adapter
time saver, direct transfer over USB, this one is 3.0 plus charger input, simple, inexpensive, I know it works with iPad 9th generation as P-N-P, may work with other Lightning 8-pin Apple stuff likely, small pocket size, I played mp4 and mp3 from stick over it directly and it works normal using "Files" sub folder. Also bought this one https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09LV6D5WW?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details which works also well with 9th generation iPad, difference is slower USB 2.0 with 2 input plus charger-in and bit more expensive.

False advertising, not USB 3.0, unreliable charging and coil whine
False advertising. This adapter does not support USB 3.0: iPadOS reports this adapter as an A1440 (Apple’s Lightning to USB 2.0 adapter) with no serial number. The product images and the box say this adapter is USB 3.0, but unfortunately that is false advertising. I tested throughput as well with a gigabit Ethernet adapter, which maxed out at just under 400 Mbps. USB 2.0 supports 480Mbps, so this makes sense for a 2.0 adapter. The Apple A1619 adapter by comparison delivers over 900Mpbs with all other variables the same, maxing out Gigabit Ethernet. To add to the false advertising, this adapter sports a USB 3.0 port including the requisite pins and even blue colored plastic, but the internals both report and function as USB 2.0. Coil whine: When this adapter is plugged into an iPad or iPhone it emits a quiet high pitched whine. The sound increases in volume when the adapter is placed under load. Charging reliability: On multiple occasions, my iPad refused to charge when using this adapter. Either no charge ding at all, or a brief charge and then disconnect. A wireless mouse receiver connected to this adapter did continue to work during these charge issues. Output power: Both this adapter and the Apple A1619 deliver ~0.15A at ~4.80V when unpowered; this adapter provides the same output power and the A1619 provides closer to 0.5A when both adapters are powered. While this is enough to run many low power USB 2.0 devices like wireless receivers and flash drives when unpowered, it’s not enough current for USB 3.0. The USB 3.0 Ethernet adapter and flash drive used for testing both functioned out of this adapter with no Lightning power connector attached. But when connected to Apple’s true USB 3.0 adapter, they attempted to pull more current than available reporting “this accessory requires too much power” causing power to cycle to the device. This is resolved when external power is connected to the adapter’s Lightning port. A connected Seagate 2.5” USB 3.0 external HDD pulses the spindle motor on and off when this adapter is both powered and unpowered. The Apple A1619 adapter doesn’t send any power (according to my inline meter) to the HDD when unpowered, but once a lightning cable is attached provides 0.37A at 4.83V, enough to spin up the drive and access data in the Files app, though freezing and performance issues while copying data leads me to believe this is not quite enough power for my particular drive to perform reliably without a powered USB hub. Conclusion: If you’re looking for a USB 2.0 adapter that includes pass-through charging, Apple doesn’t offer one, so this adapter is interesting. I would rate this 3 stars based on features and price, considering 5 stars if the electrical noise and charging issues were resolved. I can’t recommend it at all however due to outright lies about the USB protocol version support both on this listing’s pictures and on the product box I received, including a USB 3.0 port to further confuse unsuspecting customers who may believe that a blue port is proof of what was advertised. They asked me in this review form to rate the product on “warmth” and “sheerness” as well, which I’ve done with a single star. What are these rating metrics? Unknown. The noticeable coil whine and charging irregularities cause me to doubt the safety and quality of this adapter’s internals; not only from the perspective of this adapter’s own longevity, but the safety of the expensive devices I would intend to connect to both sides of this adapter. For myself, I’m returning this item and keeping the Apple A1619. Tested with iPhone 8 and iPad Pro 10.5 running iOS/iPadOS 14.2

The lighting port is for charging only ment to charge your phone while transferring files
The lighting charging pass through port worked as advertised, the description states that the lighting port is only ment to charge, and it does charge, the usb port worked with my thumb drive, I was able to copy the videos and pics I took to the thumb drive while my phone was being charged. It worked perfectly! I was able to free up space on my phone. There are other similar devices that use USB—C to charge. This was the one I wanted. My Western Digital Elements 1TB SSD worked perfectly as well, however i only used it 3 times, the first time was over several hrs (apples default iPhones video settings create very large videos files!!) and still able to keep my phone charged!!!, it does get warm, but my other USB-C versions for tablets are the same.

Works perfectly with my iPhone devices
It's a great alternative and a more affordable option compared to the original Apple version. I’m just hoping it will be durable in the long run
