JSP Manufacturing New Aftermarket Hayward CL200 and CL220 Chlorinator Lid Cap Wrench Opener Tool Pool Pump (1)

I had a plan to make this type of tool for the sole purpose of uncapping the Hayward chlorinator (CL200) without fear that I'd break the plumbing apart by doing it bare-handed, or trying to tap it with a hammer. This tool just does the job, easily, with no wrestling needed. I threw away my sketches, which look just like this device. I thought it would need to be made from a thicker sheet of plastic, but it hasn't cracked or broken after several uses, so perhaps a thicker plastic won't be needed. It has greatly speeded my refill procedure for the chlorinator as well, a real time-saver. If you have been tempted to get one, but thought it might not work, rest easy and order one. If I had a pool service business, I'd hope it could be made in a "commercial-grade" heavier duty form, because it might get cracked if it was tossed about in a service truck.

This makes opening my chlorinator so easy

This wrench will certainly do the job. It makes opening the chlorinator much easier. My only complaint - and its not much of one - is that it is made of pretty lightweight material. Since you don't really use this much, its probably adequate - with some care, it should last for years. But, its not going to stand being dropped, stepped on, or much other abuse.

Exact what I need

Impossible to remove without this tool but quite a breeze with it. Tried to buy it at a pool store but they said it needed to be ordered online. Arrived promptly.
