These paper cuts are all handmade by scissor and knife in China, where paper cutting has been a traditional folk art dating back to at least 105 A.D.
The pictures are carved from special, tissue-thin rice paper, then hand-painted with special bright Chinese inks.
Each paper cut has its own unique design. They are cut out on the inside as well as the edge and thus stand-out against any type of background. Each motif is an unbroken, continuous piece, true work of Artisans
These paper cuts multi uses that are only limited by your imagination; such as used for birthdays, anniversaries or to create greeting cards, decorate photo albums, stick on your windows, doors, mirrors, desk and even refrigerator; to use as a decoration or design a poster around it.

About Paper-Cutting Paper-cutting is one of the oldest and the most popular folk arts in China, and can be geographically divided into southern and northern style. The southern style, represented by works from Yangzhou in Jiangsu Province and Leqing in Zhejiang Province, featured ingenious and beautiful design, exquisite carve and interesting shape. However, northern style, mainly from Yuxian and Fengning in Hebei Province and best represented by works from northern Shaanxi, featured overstatement, vivid depiction and diversity.
