Encyclopedia of Nutritional Supplements: The Essential Guide for Improving Your Health Naturally Review: Great book about vitamin supplements!! - I learned more about vitamin supplements reading this book then I have ever known the author cites other research as well. It has been invaluable to me. Review: nutritional excellence - I have grown weary of Health Shop and pharmacy employees whos expertise is limited to certain areas of medication and their interactions. I take many suppliments and could not get accurate information on interactions, and other detailed information necessary to make good informed choices. Until now. At times like this, I wish I'd gone to med school, or been a journalist, to be able to accurately and succinctly review this excellent book. Suppliments and other medications can be dangerous together, and it is imperative to be informed, so as to only take what's both necessary and healthful. At last a book that covers EVERY aspect of supplimentation, and nutritional therapy. It accurately covers interactions, ACCURATE dosage, and dangers associated. If like me, you are bombarded with information from the bottles of companies desperate to sell you their product, regardless if you really need it or not.. then this book will be a breath of fresh air for you. Nothing is left out, only pertinent information left in. A real treasure for the health conscious.

A Bit Dated But Still Useful
I did not realize that this edition has a copyright of 1996 so it is not quite as up to date on supplements like D Ribose. Having said that, all of Dr. Marray's books are goldmines of information and excellent references.

A very useful reference book.
While this is not a book I would read from cover to cover, it will be a very useful reference book - which is why I bought it. I have had a look through it and I think it is just what I need.

I love how its laid out and was a very good start to my new adventure into natural medicine. Plus the author is the same person who co-wrote the text book used for naturopathic medicine.

Great Book, The author Michael T. Murray always does a great job at taken a ton of info and giving to the reader with ease. I also have his book called Natural Medicine which I owned first and found the information to the point and the chapters well laid out and that allowed me to buy this book with confidence, I was not let down. Having such an amazing encyclopedia is a must in the days where everyone knows best but no one seems to be able to tell you why.

I bought this as a second hand book as the price was really cheap ,about 3£ sth with pp incl. It arrived on a completely different way than the book pictured above. The cover is different but the author is the same and the content its an absolute gem. There is extensive reference.at the end of the book, scientific evidence based and well structured. For 2017 the evidence though is back in the 90s but some information are staple and never change.

Since labeling of supplements are not permitted to indicate what they are used for, this is the perfect solution for understanding herbal supplements and their proper application.
