It slides on the carpet, the foam has perfect consistency, not too hard, not too soft. It has two caps which can be very convenient for someone that takes it to the gym.I love the spiky massage ball that comes with it. I used to use a tennis ball on my back and hips but I found this ball much more effective and confortable. The sensation is quite funny :)I mainly use the roller on by butt, hamstrings, quads and piriformis muscle. After using it for a while it makes a huge difference, specially if you exercise a lot. I have tight hamstrings and this makes miracles!!If you are new to this, check youtube. There's thousands of videos explaining how to use the roller.Go easy by the way... This can make your muscles really sore!!
