Why does the title say "1 year and up" but the description has a warning that says "choking hazard - not for children under 3"?

I don’t know. The company probably has to do that for insurance reasons. My one-year-old granddaughter loves this toy!

yes, I usually wash it in cold water and air dry it to keep it fresh and looking new.

Is this polyester? Could not find the material in the description
