If you are using it as a punch for vertical blinds, you may have to make the hole larger by punching it more than once. Levelor blinds for instance have a larger hole than some other brands. **Q: Will this punch through felt?** A: I have not tried it on felt or any fabric but pretty sure it would not as it is for paper. **Q: Could foam board fit into the slot to be punched?** A: I do not believe that the thickness of foam board would fit the slot. I would say no it would not punch foam board **Q: what is the reach on this punch?** A: Reach of the closer border of punch hole is 9mm or close to 3. 7/8 of an inch. The hole is 8 x 2 mm, means distant border of punch hole is 11mm distant from the border of plastic you are punching.
