This was a really interesting looking item I bought as a gift for a family member. It was really good quality and seemed to serve many functions. Slips right into a card slot of a wallet.

Not incredibly useful, but it is well priced and worth buying for those 'just in case' moments. I'd like to first mention that this is advertised as having 11 functions, though only about 6 of them are actually practical. Actually Useful Functions: 1) Can Opener- Obviously useful 2) Knife Edge- After being sharpened is quite functional 3) Screwdriver- A bit wide, but works fine 4) Ruler- Somewhat useful. It measures in centimeters and is only 4cm long (just over 1.5 inches). Would have prefered some of the useless tools gone and this slightly longer (or smaller tool size, to justify the small ruler length) 5) Saw Blade- Not certain how much could be accomplished with a saw this small, but I still deem this a useful function 6) Direction Ancillary Indicator- A quick google search provides the info that this is used to indicate direction on a flat surface when used with a water droplet and an extremley light magnetized bit of metal. Was not able to yeild a result myself, but I'll assume I was doing something wrong. Useless "Functions": 7) 4 Position Wrench - Potentially useful, HOWEVER any place I have seen nuts/bolts this small they have been in constrained spaces, meaning that the square shape of the tool would be too bulky to actually maneuver a turn. 8) 2 Position Wrench- Smaller version of above (why is it considered a separate tool?). Identical problems 9) Butterfly Wrench - Honestly not quite sure what this is, though other reviewers have mentioned that the whole point of a butterly nut/bolt is that you don't need a tool for it. (Could also see space being an issue as for the 4 Position Wrench) 10) Cap opener- Perhaps I'm unenlightened, but what can a cap opener do that a can opener can't? 11) Keychain/lanyard hole- Not a USEFUL function. The whole point of this is to have it for an emergency or unexpected situation while being unobtrusive. Fitting this on a keychain bulks it up, not to mention adding the danger of cutting yourself (see SAWBLADE and KNIFE EDGE). A lanyard is also inconvenient with the same potential self-mutilation. Luckily it fits in a credit card sized wallet compartment where it should be stored(it's actually a bit smaller than a credit card). On the plus side, it seems much more durable than I thought it would be and comes with a nice protective sleeve to conceal the sharp parts. At the time I bought this, it was a total of $2.00 with free shipping. This is 8 quarters people; if you're even mildly interested, it's worth it!

I Googled that term and the only reference I could find for this apparent-spin-term is related directly to this device and appears to be a totally made-up description (maybe it loses something in the translation). Another site calls it a "sun compass" (what, like "if the sun is in the east...). In short, whatever it is, it takes up quite a bit of space and is fairly useless-- unless you want to draw a circle with a notch in it. I was tempted to give this 3 stars because of the cons. But hey, it's a buck and what it comes down to in the end is: "How useful is this device?" I have to admit, a can opener, bottle opener, knife blade, saw and screwdriver in a wallet-size tool might come in handy from time to time-- if one doesn't want to carry around a multi-function pocket knife. So this gets 4 stars for "what it is" (not 5 stars because the "direction ancillary wrench" is silly). Are there other devices that are portable and do the job better? Sure. Any decent multi-function pocket knife would be a good alternative. Far more useful, easily portable. But that doesn't de-value this item; it just means there are many better choices out there. If you're a businessman and don't like bulk in your pockets, if you don't carry a purse, and if you don't want to carry around a multi-function pocket knife... or conversely if you only want to spend a buck... this item is good quality and does what it says. Except for the "direction ancillary wrench" part. That's just goofy.

This tool is the most ingenious tool ever. My father and i have been in the logging business for several years. It is a very tough job and requires some serious muscle and sweat. I ordered this tool on a whim after seeing that one of the 11 functions was a wood saw. Boy was i glad I did. Because of the small size of the tool, you are able to get twice as many swipes across the trunks of trees as you would with a bigger saw. you kinda just use a wrist jerking motion if you will. Beyond that the knife is sharp enough to cut through full size lengths of rope 3 inches in diameter with minimal effort and the multiple wrenches included in the tool will allow you to toss out that heavy tool box full of gear, all this with the convienience of being able to sit comfortably in your wallet. I give this my highest recommendation, youd be a fool not to buy several of these

Basically I agree 100% with T. Hassler review. This little gadget is nice for what it is. A cheap little credit card sized "multi-tool" if you can really call it that, there is no better description I can think of. The bottle opener, saw and ruler are the best features and the little scraper (supposed to be a knife) next to the can opener is also very handy. The "wrench" slots are a bit cheesy. They are either not for SAE measurement nuts/bolts, maybe they are for metric, or the stamping of them is not of decent tolerance standards. While the saw is good little saw for light wood, plastic, or thick rope it makes using the tool for other items a bit uncomfortable and you risk getting a cut or abrasion if not used VERY carefully. The can opener is another significant hazard too. It is very sharp and situated (as it probably has to be) in a very exposed position. The "butter-fly" nut wrench is has too thin a slot for most butterfly nuts. If a bit wider it would be much more useful and for butterfly nuts, "fit" is not a critical factor as opposed to square/hex nuts. I am still trying to determine what the large round circular hole thing with markings around it is actually for and what purpose it serves. Any suggestions or ideas from anyone? The can opener is a little tricky to use for people not accustomed to this style of can opener, it only works well in one position and I did take a vise to the under lip gripper and give it a VERY slight offset to grip lip better. To use it well the angled, NOT the flat side should be positioned toward the center of can. What this little tool really needs is better quality in the construction of the wrench functions and a thin guard on edge where saw and can opener are located. It is NOT a true survival tool. The knife is not really a knife, it is a scraper, the saw is too small for cutting significant amount of small branches for even fire starting, there is NO real screwdriver. If you really need a good survival tool/multi-tool spend the money for one. This is only a cute little gadget for putting in a billfold or purse wallet for LIGHT duty use when out shopping, going to a movie, pub, or about town and in urban settings, NOT a tool for the car emergency kit on a trip or when hiking, camping, hunting or even fishing.

I love pocket multi-tools, and I love having a Swiss Army knife with me wherever I go. I never thought of having a multi-tool in my wallet. It does add some weight and thickness to the wallet, but that hasn't bothered me yet. It's about 1-3/4" x 2-3/4" so it's much smaller than a credit card. It's as thick as two credit cards, but it's so strong you will never bend it under moderate use or by sitting on your wallet too much. I love that it has a Swiss Army knife type saw edge. There are sharp edges everywhere so I imagine it might start wearing holes through the lining of your wallet eventually. It has a key chain hole, but I can't imagine having this on my key chain. Ouch! Mine did come with a plastic sleeve, but I haven't been using it. The directions are not in English. To be honest, I've only used it as a bottle opener once, but it was totally awesome.

Have bought a few of these SE MT908 11 Function Credit Card Size Survival Pocket Tool gadgets over the years. It's not that they wear out, it's that when people see mine, they want one as well. This stainless steel tool is small, measuring just 2.75 by 1.75 inches, just small enough to fit inside of a wallet, but I would not suggest it, even though it's just under the size of a credit card. The knife blade is sharp enough to wreck havoc on the inside of a wallet, which is probably far more expensive than this handy little device. And if it's temporarily back-ordered, check for the Kikkerland CD401 Classic Survival Tool , which is the same. Not going to detail all of the "11-functions-in-1" that this little apparatus offers or how they work, but it has a knife edge, can opener, cap opener, screwdriver, ruler, 4-position wrench, butterfly screw wrench, saw blade, direction ancillary wrench, 2-position wrench, and a keychain hole. Take a look at the photo and you can figure it out for yourself. The bottle opener is quite handy for those that don't unscrew so easily, and the little saw is handy for small, emergency jobs. The wrench can be handy for lightweight loosening, but not for any heavy-duty jobs. In any case, this handy little device usually sits in my camera bag, as one never knows just when such a tool might prove to be handy in the field when taking photos. It's a real 5-star implement for those times when such a gadget is necessary. 10/11/2012

I bought this tool roughly a year ago and the only real emergency it has served to help with was opening the occasional bottle when the bottle opener went missing. That is until today. I was dropping my wife off at the bus station only to find that the bus was broken down. It was only a belt to the AC for the bus, but it being loose and rattling around could have caused far more serious problems according to the driver. The bus driver asked if we had a knife or anything sharp and this was what I had. I gave it to him and he tried to cut through with the saw blade, but gave up pretty quickly. I asked him if he minded if I gave it a try and he said sure. I made a pinch point in the belt where the teeth had stripped off and sliced through it rather quickly with the knife edge. With the belt cut free the driver was free to carry his passengers into the city in a timely manner and I got a fun little story to tell. A situation like this may never come up again, but I was glade I had this with me when it did. To the tool itself I can tell you that the saw blade is good for very light cutting duty, the knife blade will cut through a drive belt for a city bus' AC compressor if you fold the belt into a very tight loop to put stress on it, the screw driver is handy for opening battery covers to toys, and the bottle opener does exactly what it was designed for. The biggest drawback to this tool is the over all design could have been though out a little better. The placement of the saw blade can make using the tool very uncomfortable on the hand as it tends to bite into you when using the other functions of the tool. I think it would have been better served just giving the knife blade serrations and leaving the saw blade off entirely. Aside from that I have to say, for the price, it is definitely worth having in your wallet.

La verdad superó mis expectativas, sentía que iba a ser muy delgado y frágil pero todo lo contrario, está grueso y filoso, lo que se necesita, es un poco más pequeña que una tarjeta de crédito lo cual lo hace perfecta para su propósito que es traerla en la billetera, es barata y durará para siempre prácticamente.

A great little multi-tool. Compact, fits in my wallet, and very durable. I've used it many times and it hasn't bent of stripped and tool or bolt/nut I've used it on.

Je recherchais une idée pour une dizaine de cadeaux d'assiettes identiques, sans trop me ruiner. Cet ustensile "11 en 1 Spécial survie" s'y prête très bien ! Vu que demain le Monde... on ne sait jamais... ;) C'est sûr qu'en mode survie un décapsuleur est certainement INDISPENSABLE ! Je me suis d'ailleurs empressé de m'en servir pour ouvrir quelques canettes... c'est du costaud ! Pour le tarif (livraison de HK gratuite en moins de 10j !) je trouve qu'il est plutôt bien fini, quoi qu'un peu lourd. Couplé avec d'autres produits "de survie", bracelet paracord, mousqueton, capsules, etc..., voilà donc un petit paquet original pour bien appréhender le chinois (la langue de la notice, le prix et la qualité de fabrication) ! Cela mérite bien 5 étoiles car peu seront capables d'en déterminer son mini-prix... (Chut ! Ne dites rien !)
