Does it offer UV protection?

Thank you for your interest in our Spectrum Umbrella. In order for us to make the claim of UV protection the fabric would have to be rated as such by a qualified laboratory. This umbrella does not offer UV protection as such. Umbrellas can offer a little protection just with the normal fabric that it is made of. Would it be possible to paint this umbrella?

If you had the proper fabric paints for this shiny surface, it could be possible to paint it.

I don't know of a single umbrella that's not waterproof. All umbrellas that I have had were waterproof including this one.
