We got a new Kitchenaid dishwasher and it came with sample pods for another top brand. (The salesperson said the pod companies partner with the appliance companies.) We tried it and hated it: the weird artificial blue color was sus, and the industrial, chlorine-like smell that filled the kitchen during a wash was terrible. We had used Seventh Generation loose powder in our previous machine but the new one needs pods. We were so pleased to find these! They work great, dishes are clean, no chemical smell, no residue, no spots. (Personally I think the key to no spots is to skip the heat dry cycle, whch seems to bake on residue, and let things air dry.) Highly recommended!

I’ve been a big fan of this dishwasher detergent for over 10 years, and it’s still the only one I trust. Start using since I have kid. It cleans dishes extremely well without leaving residue or strong chemical smells. I especially love the Free & Clear version because it has no fragrance but still gets everything sparkling clean. It’s also great knowing the ingredients are safer compared to many other brands. The packs dissolve well and work consistently in every cycle. After trying many different brands over the years, I always come back to this one. Most reliable.

I tried these pods over a year ago and I’m never going back. I was using another popular brand of colorful pods along with the equally popular rinse aide. We were noticing a a greasy film on all of our dishes & a soapy taste on our glasses. I did a lot of research and felt that we had been ingesting harmful chemicals! These pods clean perfectly and better than I ever expected. Everything, including glass baking dishes comes out spotless. I completely stopped using rinse aide & the results are hard to believe. No more sickening fragrance and greasy film. The absolute best choice for cleaning performance and for peace of mind!

Love these detergent pods, better than other clean brands we've used whose pods don't fully disintegrate when we run a load. Leaves our dishes clean and good value!

I’ve been using the Seventh Generation Dishwasher Detergent Packs and really appreciate that they’re free from harsh chemicals, dyes, and fragrances. My dishes, glasses, and silverware generally come out sparkling clean, and I feel good knowing I’m using something safer for my family and the environment. However, I did notice that these tabs sometimes struggle with heavy grease or baked-on food. For lighter everyday loads, they work beautifully, but for tougher messes I usually have to pre-rinse or give items an extra scrub. ✅ Pros: Eco-friendly and free from harmful chemicals. Leaves most dishes spot-free and shiny. Easy-to-use tabs with no mess or measuring. ⚠️ Cons: Doesn’t always cut through grease on tougher pans. Overall, this is a great natural dishwasher detergent for everyday use, but keep in mind you may need some extra help on greasy or heavily soiled cookware.

I am trying to use nontoxic products. I first tried Blueland dishwasher tabs and I thought they worked good except I started having to wash my coffee cup before I put it in the dishwasher or there would be marks. I also drink a lot of iced green tea and my clear glasses were getting a tinge of stain. That was the end. I switched to seventh generation and haven’t had a mark on a dish since. Everything has come out immaculate, no residue. Really happy with these.

Very effective in my dishwasher with no harsh chemicals!

We purchased this for the first time recently. We used cascade previously, for years, we tried the liquid and the pack ones. They both left residue and smells on our dishes. Switched to this and finally my toddler will eat out of his bowls and drink out of his cups without saying “that’s drosse mommy” 🤣 Anyways it’s a little higher than other brands but totally worth it.

Been using this dishwasher packs, love it. It does not break. Cleans the dishes very well, even the tough stains. The problem is 7th generation is getting greedy, there is no 73count box. They are selling it two packs of 30 for additional cost. I have to look for another brand.

If, like me, in the past you’ve been suckered into buying dishwasher pods with names like “Quantum Extreme Ultraclean TURBO” and three or four different coloured sections, I’m here to assure you that’s all marketing nonsense. Not only do the seventh generation pods clean just as well (if not better) than any of those, the fact they’re unscented means that dishes, especially plastic or silicone dishes, come out with no residue or unpleasant chemical smells. I was using the “top-tier” cascade tabs and I found especially silicone spatulas had a strong chemical smell and taste on them that I had to scrub out with soap and water. No such smell after using these pods, and it gets them just as clean. I’ve been using them for over a month, daily, and have had zero cases of food remaining on dishes after a cycle. Note: i use a Bosch dishwasher that I am very diligent about cleaning regularly, use rinse aid, and follow the manufacturers instructions for loading dishes, so if you don’t do these you may have a different experience - as for me, I’ll probably use these pods as long as I have a dishwasher to put them in. My only complaint is I haven’t yet been able to buy them in bulk.

Works well, even with really hard water!

Obviously this is also a division of a "name brand" (i.e., Unilever) but do like the focus on renewable ingredients and away from synthetic fragrances and dyes. Cleans well with very few spots, including dried-on food; even cleaned film off of some glasses that had remained after using other pods. No issues with large amounts of suds at the end of a cleaning cycle as some have described. With products containing other rinse agents, we noticed issues with excessive foaming of beer and soda when poured into glasses. This issue has disappeared since trying out this brand. 4/5 stars because there is still plastic packaging. However, mush less so than the plastic bins used to hold other brands. I assume this might be a moisture-prevention issue.
