Just get one.
A very special pencil. A great gift. Love it. They're smaller than their longer counterpart, but this size is convenient. With the silver clip? You've got the coolest pencil out there.

Light but solid
Solid feel, no rattle due to the rubber o-rings inside. Lighter than I'd expected with very thin aluminum barrel, but still feels great. Small eraser under cap with included cleaning needle. Advancing mechanism appears to be sturdy, made of all brass. Overall I'm satisfied with my purchase though it is pretty expensive for just a pencil.

Nice but not spectacular
Fits in the hand very nice. Ethos are good. The bad though is it has a very noisy rattle because the mechanism does not have tight tolerances. Some might find the finish a little slick. Also you will want different lead. Kaweco lead is so soft that I can use up a whole piece before I finish writing a post-it note. No, really I found it shocking. Gonna get myself some nice HB in either Pentel Ain Stein or Pilot Neox or I will go broke trying to keep this thing in it's original lead.

Simple, elegent, very well made & reliable
This mechanical pencil is well made, reliable, has a nice weight to it and doesn't rattle like so many retractable pencils at this price point. The simple octagonal design feels really nice in the hand...I use it to sketch with (design) and it never gets uncomfortable in the hand. I have heard a few people say that the lead retracts to far with each click, but I have NEVER found this to be the case. I actually sketch with blue lead (which is very brittle) and press down quite hard and don't have a problem with the lead snapping. It protrudes the lead about 1.0mm with each push; any less than this and it would be annoying. The pen is well made (steel barrel) & the semi-gloss black finish is smooth, clean & elegant. It doesn't have a pen clip which might be annoying to some people, but I usually find myself removing these anyway, which then makes the pencil look average & poorly weighted. I would highly recommend this pencil to designers, sketchers, architects and alike. I've tried many different mechanical pencils in my time and this is by far the best at this price point. The ball point point version of this design is also really nice and will accept third party refills of varying tips.

Beautiful pencil, broke immediately
The is the 2nd one of these pencils that I've purchased in the past few years. I lost the first one and was excited to replace it. The pencil is beautiful, simple, feels great in the hand with a great weight. Unfortunately within days of receiving and using it, the metal tip fell out of the end of the pencil and now I can't write or draw without the lead breaking from the missing support.

handsome but not worth the money
I confess I love mechanical pencils. I thought for the price, this would turn out to be a great writing instrument and superior to the two GraphGear pencils I have (costing $11 each). But you know something, it's not. The Kaweco is good looking and sleek in its matte finish but it's really not worth the money. In fact, it's quite a disappointment. Better to spend your money on a reliable fountain pen.
