NT Cutter Safety Carton Opener with Staple Remover, 1 Opener (R-1200P)

UPDATE: Before you use this cutter, please use a dab of lock-tight in the screws that hold the blade in place. I purchased 2 of these cutters and on BOTH cutters the screws came out and the blades fell off. I was able to find the blade and screws for mine however the screws and blade are now gone for my work partner's cutter. I purchased 3 more last night because they've become very popular at my work. I may end up purchasing a case. Nonetheless before you use these, tighten the screws! I am a mail processing clerk with USPS and I've had to purchase this on my own since these idiots refuse to furnish us with equipment needed to do our job. Been waiting 5 years for a cutter so I decided to stop waiting and purchased these for myself and my work partner. These are GREAT! Cuts like butter and removes stapless great as well. We both liked this very much. Comfortable fit for our hand and not heavy but sturdy and built with quality. Everyone has been asking about these. Hopefully they will buy from you! Good quality. Does great on every thing it say except, the nylon straps. [Bought for work, that company didn't approve it, so I will have no problems at home with any amazon package every again. It worked great for those copper staples. Now it back to the company sold, I mean approved, Fiser price looking blades that I can't hurt myself or anyone else with... or very thick plastic, or card board. But hey they pay me by the hour, so why be fast.] I was happy with this accept in it vs. nylon straps but it was best at as a staple remover. Will up date when it vs. a clam shell. No good for clam shells, the plastic slips behind the razor blade not cutting and will bind up.

This is much more bulky than what I expected. I would go so far as to say it is "industrial strength". Not a bad thing, but not what I was looking for just to open my frequent boxes from Amazon. I am surprised at the quality for the price- in a good way! I know someone could use something like this more than I, so I donated it to the Salvation Army. Then I purchased Klever XChange, Box Cutter, Safety Cutter, Utility Knife, Safety Knife, Replaceable Head Perfect For Cutting Double Wall Cardboard or Other Thick Material (Yellow) and it is more suitable for my needs. It also takes up less than half the space where I store it.

I am a morning stocker at a big box hardware chain, when hired they made me buy a $2 cheap safety blade, it worked good, but every time I put in my pocket it was too small to get out with my gloves on. Th NT Cutter, is very nice, works on boxes, cello tape, box straps and box staples great!! Its built tough, nice size for easy access out of pockets or tool belt, well balanced. Anyone that has to open boxes on a regular basis should gett on of these!!!

This is an odd design. Love the fact that the blade is hidden. I often open packages while the dogs want to poke their nose into them and with this, I don't worry about a sharp exposed knife edge. The down side is that you have to get the thick, blunt edge under the tape first and that is not always easy. Nor is it keeping the knife aligned with the tape forcing you to tear the tape as opposed to cut it often. Good news is that it is super tough and well built. If you need to force a package open, this is the (blunt) tool of choice! Otherwise, a standard blade works better.

This high-quality tool works great for cutting and removing straps from boxes. When you have to remove hundreds of straps in a short period of time, this is the tool. Highly recommend.
