Great plug
I have 5 of these strategically placed throughout my yard. One runs my fountain, another one runs my gazebos lights, another I use for my light strips on my awning, another for an LED light strip on a fence and the last for a halogen projector. All hooked up to one bridge. They all work flawlessly through my Ring and Alexa apps. Have never had an issue setting any up or losing connection. Great that they have 2 outlets than can be controlled independently or as a single unit. Very versatile.

Easy setup and great flexibility
We finally added Ring bridge and lighting to our alarm system. Landscaping lights can now be scheduled and control via the Ring App. We've had Z wave switches in our system but these do not connect to ring bridge and do not have scheduling functions. Note that you must have the Ring Bridge module in order to use the Outdoor Smart plug. These units have two outlets that are individually controlled. they are called 'A' and 'B'. thus you can control two different power functions be it lighting, fans or small appliances etc. There is a button on the top face of the unit which has a slight toggle function left or right. Each side controls plug A or plug B toggling on and off manually when needed. They are very easy to setup via the Ring app. Click add device, Scan the bar code and follow the instructions. Once connected there are the various options to create lighting groups and schedule on off times. The units are a bit large and heavy so be aware if you are trying to conceal them. They have a hefty high quality feel to them. Heavy duty power cord with right angle plug end. Very Nice

Easy of use
Great product ! Overall, this smart plug is convenient, reliable, and integrates seamlessly with other Ring and Alexa-enabled devices. If you want more control over your outdoor electronics, it’s definitely worth it.

Limited range that can't be extended with Gen2 Bridge
See JP's review (https://www.amazon.com/gp/customer-reviews/R39MRSQQKNHJ3V/ref=cm_cr_arp_d_rvw_ttl). In addition to that review you need to know that this device has limited range for connecting to its hub. I have a Ring Alarm Pro that is successfully controlling a Ring Smart Lighting Transformer in the same place where I want to install this device. The smart plug is unable to connect to the Ring Alarm Pro from the same location. The advice is to "move the hub" but a moment's reflection should suggest that in a large house you can't move the hub to where it works with everyplace you want to put Smart Plugs. The solution should be to extend the range by using Sidewalk, but this device apparently doesn't support Sidewalk. You might think you can just use a Gen 2 Bridge, but you'll see the description for that device (as of the date of this review) says: "Please note, Ring Smart Plug is not currently supported". I've verified that fact. As JD notes, the Gen1 bridge is discontinued. This kind of incompatibility inside a product line is completely inexcusable, hence the 1 star review. UPDATE: I got a call from a very nice Ring Executive Resolution Specialist who verified that the Smart Plug currently does not support Sidewalk or the 2nd Gen Lighting Bridge and thus there is no way to extend the range of the Smart Plug in the current product line. In the meantime I found a local store that had one of the discontinued 1st Gen Lighting Bridge which DOES work with the Smart Plug and got things configured that way. This doesn't change the rating though because the incompatibilities described above still exist.

Easy install and reliable operation
We already use a Ring doorbell and security cameras. Bought this (and the required bridge) to replace a photocell controlled external LED light switch. Easy to install the bridge and then link to the smart plug. using the ring app and QR codes on packaging. The plug works with only a moderate WiFi signal (Ring app reports signal strength as "Fair". Easy to set a schedule for on/off specific times, but the dusk to dawn setting did not work (never came on) and switching the lights off manually after a scheduled start and then on manually deletes the schedule off time. Tech support indicated that this is intended behavior, but it's occasionally annoying. Overall, works well and I will probably add a couple more.

Great for remotely controlling devices.
I use the to remotely activate an electric anti raccoon fence that I can monitor on camera from work and it works flawlessly. Always remember to turn it off and on if the power to it gets interrupted. It defaults to off if the power feeding it gets interrupted but may show that it’s on in the app. Just turn it off & on again in the app and it will sync up & turn the outlet back on, & give an accurate reading.in the app.

Great smart outlet, but you do need a Ring bridge
I purchased this smart outlet to control two sets of outdoor lights in my backyard, around my swimming pool. Although, Amazon claimed it would work with/through one of my echo speakers I was never able to connect the smart outlet to the rest of my Ring devices without first buying a Ring lighting bridge. You can’t buy a Ring bridge by itself on Amazon, however, you can buy one at Lowe’s. What I like about this device is that you can control both outlets independently, as well as set up timers on each, or have them turn on automatically based on events, such as motion sensors activated on other Ring devices.
