i absolutely love this shampoo. 7.5 years ago when i got my first dog, i tried several different shampoos (which weren't a good fit for us) before finding this one. now we have 5 dogs, and this is still the only dog shampoo i've used for the past 7 years. the scent is light and lovely, leaves my dogs with a smell i can only really describe as "clean," it lathers well (i keep an old bottle which i use to pre-mix a small amount of shampoo with water, just however much i need for that bath session), and it leaves my dogs' coats soft and well-conditioned, i don't even need to use conditioner. we have a variety of rescue dogs: a lab/husky mix, a staffy, a wiry terrier mix, a goldendoodle and a maltipoo, with both "fur" and "hair" coat types, and this shampoo is great for all of them. my only complaint (and it's kind of a major problem) is that there is no seal under the cap, and the cap twists off quite easily in shipping. this has lead to the past four of my orders of this from amazon to have either arrived leaked all over the box it was shipped in (arrived with about a half inch of shampoo still in the bottle), or else for the package to be sent back to amazon as "undeliverable" before even arriving to me. i tried again and just received a bottle which appears to have leaked before even being shipped to me, with evidence of the leak visible as water damage on the label, and about 1/3 of the shampoo in the bottle missing, although no evidence of leaks during the actual shipment to me. the lack of a seal on the bottle used to not be an issue, as i originally found and purchased this shampoo at my local pet store, but since moving 2 hours away i cannot find it in any stores near me. i am hesitant to even ask amazon about the missing 1/3 of the shampoo, because i don't want to have to send back the shampoo that i actually did receive when they try to send a replacement. my last replacement bottle was the one that had been delivered empty. i will continue to look for this shampoo elsewhere, as clearly it does not ship well (although this seems to be a more recent problem over the past year, i've had it delivered successfully before that). in the photos, i put a flashlight behind the bottle to show the level of shampoo in the bottle as it arrived to me.

I happened to but this shampoo some time ago, just by randomly picking it at a store. I am really glad I did! This is the only shampoo I use on my cat since then. It cleans very well but at the same time is really, really mild on the cat. It also smells wonderful and my cat's fur end up all soft and shiny. It has never irritated his skin or eyes, and he doesn't seem to be bothered with the smell (cats can get to hate some products that smell good for us, but they just stink to them). Also, I have found this shampoo to be a little too concentrate, so I usually dilute a little of it on a cup of warm water - it still makes up for a lot of foam, great cleaning and smell, and lasts for quite a good time! I don't really have a single complain here, this is an excellent product. Satisfaction guaranteed!

BEST shampoo for cats I've ever tried. Used it years ago, and was so happy to find it again. Does a much better job of removing oil and conditioning the coat than anything else (I've tried probably 30 different shampoos and other coat-cleaning products over the years). It also made removing his mats about 50% easier (still required a lot of brushing and a good de-matting comb, but softened them enough to lift them away from his skin). Doesn't irritate my old cat's sensitive skin or upset his sensitive stomach when he licks himself later. Scent is light and pleasant. Background: I have a long-haired (Cymric / Himalayan mix), elderly, arthritic cat. His arthritis prevents him from being able to groom himself properly, and his coat gets excessively oily and matted.

It arrived in different packaging, but as far as I can tell, the product is the same. It came to me in a non-transparent red bottle. It gets the job done and it doesn't irritate my kittens' skin. It's a bummer that this is an add-on item, but I ordered two bottles and so that should be enough to last me for a long while. Doesn't have any noticeable odors, either. 4 stars because when the bottles arrived, they had both leaked all over the place. Luckily the other things in my package were wrapped in plastic.

Hi! The product is great and works well! However when i ordered & received it twice, the bottle which is not sealed, came open in the package and the shampoo bottle was almost empty both times! They need to seal the bottle so this does not happen

Not too long ago, we found three abandoned kittens. So we took them in, and raised them up until they were full of energy and a bit rambunctious. Problem was that they were quite dirty and had their fair share of fleas. Luckily, this bottle had just come in the mail as I originally ordered it for my own cat. So we decided to give them all a bath. Everyone on Amazon has complimented the smell of the shampoo but to me, it kind of smelled like car soap? I would much prefer it to smell like baby shampoo than car soap so that was a little disappointing. Perhaps it's a new formula as one reviewer mentioned, but what would possess a company to turn it from baby smell to car smell? It doesn't seem like a good business ploy. Either way, scent aside, the shampoo worked great; it got rid of the dirt and their grimy coats. Not so much the fleas, but it slowed down their movement so that I could comb some of them out while in the bath. Bottom line, it works wonders. Made my own cat quite affectionate in her clean state and the kittens were nice and soft, I just hope they stay clean enough to find them new happy homes.

We used to have a Maltese who itched with every "gentle" dog shampoo we tried until Four Paws Tearless Puppy Shampoo. It's very gentle on the skin, has a very light scent, and doesn't irritate eyes should any get into it. Since those many years ago we've used only this on our dogs and even take it to the groomer for them to use. Just gave one bottle to a friend whose dog scratched after every bath. She was amazed at the difference. Smooth, clean, soft coat and no itchies! She's a fan after one bath. Best stuff on the market.
