Works Perfectly! Better than expected!
With marina fuel prices the way they are (Min. $4.89/gal for 89 non-ethanol as of 2/26/2022), I can save almost $1.00/gal by purchasing Rec fuel at the local gas station using gas cans. I take a couple of cans with. me when I know I'm going out and just fill them up. Now my boat only holds 40 gal. so this works for me. Anything too much larger would make this process pretty inconvenient. But using this little transfer pump makes life so much easier. Screw it on, press start, and it will transfer 5 gal. of fuel in about 2 min. No leaks, no hassle. For me, a single fill-up almost pays for the cost of the pump. Then take into account dealing with lines at the marina, the hassle of finding a good spot, docking, tying it off etc. makes this a no brainer for me. Anyway, the pump works great for my setup. No issues whatsoever.

Fuel can pump
I really like this product. Before purchasing this pump I was tilting a 5 gallon plastic gas can to pour into a funnel into my riding mower gas tank. In process I spilled or splashed a lot of gas—very messy and hazardous. This pump screws firmly onto the gas can and doesn’t leak—good seal. I leave it in place until the gas can is empty. The discharge hose is adequate but need to move gas can next to mower so hose reaches. A longer hose would be helpful. The pump is a no-brainer to operate. Requires two AA batteries (not included). The pump is of very good quality. It has inherent safety feature built into power-on which is genius; convenient & effective. I am proud to show it off. It fills my mower tank without my lifting of the gas can whatsoever. No splash or mess. No hazardous situation. This is a good buy. I strongly recommend this if you routinely lift a gas can to refuel equipment. A good gift too.

Easy, dependable and no mess
I needed a way toget ethanol free gas from a gas can to my motorcycle. I tried a couple of cheaper pumps but they both broke after only a few uses. I waited a while to post a review of this to make sure it didn't break too. I've had it over a year and it works great. Easy, dependable and no mess.

Good pump. Could be better.
This pump is OK for most operations but it does have a couple of drawbacks. One "drawback" is that it does not fit all gas cans as stated in the description. It is designed to work only with a sealed condition which is fine for most applications but, sometimes I need to move fuel from one container to another. This cannot be done unless the unit fits tightly to the source container. Another "drawback" is that the hoses are too short. If the main line does not reach the bottom of the source container, the unit cannot pump all of the fuel.

It's great. Works better than expected
If you are like me and can't stand the new fuel cans then this is for you. If you are like me and getting older and have trouble trying to hold up 5 gallons of fuel while trying to pour your fuel into your lawnmower with the new fuel cans then this is for you. No more struggle, over pouring and getting fuel all over my mower and myself. Filled up my fuel tank within seconds and no sore back and a mess everywhere. Just screw it onto your gas can push the green button and when your done just push the red button and all of the extra fuel in the pump line flows quickly back into the gas can. It even has a handy-dandy spot with a clip to store the nozzle. So yes in my opinion I highly recommend this to anyone looking to buy. Only thing is make sure you have 4 double A batteries or you'll be running to the store like I did lol.

Disappointed
First the pros. The pump works great and it's very easy to operate. Now the cons, and this killed it for me. After i used the pump to fill my mower i drained any extra fuel in the hose into my mower tank, i even raised the hose up in the air to allow any remaining (very little) fuel in the hose to drain back into the pump/gas can and inserted the hose in it's holder. This pump some how held a vacuum/ suction of some cert and after returning to the shed to put my mower back up i had a nice surprise waiting for me. There was fuel all over my shed floor coming from the hose of this pump. I total mess to say the least. So keep this in mind if you decide to purchase this pump. For me it was a waste of money and is now sitting on the shelf taking up space. Now one can say, after it's used just pull the pump out of the gas can so this won't happen. Well that defeats the purpose for me. The pump is setup to be attached to the tank for easy and quick transfer. If i have to go through the process of unscrewing the pump and taking it out of the tank each time then i'd just prefer the old way, pick up the gas can and pour the fuel into the tank and sit it back down. I didn't buy this to increase the job process of fueling up equipment. Now with that being said the pump will serve a positive purpose for some things. If you're going to buy it for larger fuel transfer once in awhile let's say from tank to tank and then put the pump away for awhile until the next big project then i'd say the pump will be perfect for that. But for everyday use where you plan on leaving it attached to the gas can, then no i wouldn't purchase it.

I tried the rest came back to the best. It is a little long, but a telling story
The first DeWay pump we bought was in June 2021. When it finally crapped out in June 2025, I figured spending about $10 a year to avoid messing with heavy 5-gallon gas cans was well worth it. However, I decided to check around and found a different brand for $10 less that had a longer hose. By March of 2026, that hose cracked. Thinking I would just go even cheaper if I had to replace these things anyway, I bought another brand for $26. Dang, by June of 2026 it completely quit working! I was able to solder some wires to fix it, but a week later it quit for good. Lesson learned. I came right back to DeWay, and I hope I get a few good years out of this one. Like I said, $10 a year is more than worth it.

Great gas can
First of all a 5 gallon gas can is a little too much to fill a riding lawnmower and being older isn’t easy! One thing I don’t like is the long nozzle that don’t work that great. This is easy because it fits right into the can and works like a dream! Just like putting gas ⛽️ in the car at the station. “NO MORE LIFTING “

Fantastic
I recommend this little pump. Just got back from our hunting trip. Filling Atvs, trucks, and generators has never been so effortless. All the guy’s thought this pump was fantastic. No more lifting heavy jerrycans of fuel and with the auto shutoff feature you just turn it on and walk away. Four double A’s lasted the two week trip filling four ATV’s everyday plus etc.

Great little pump
It is a great pump, it takes a bit longer than simply pouring out the gas but is way easier. It struggles after -10 but everything battery operated does. Very happy, wish it had some kind of case

Simplicity
This is an AWESOME gadget. Wished I had known about it earlier!!! It’s great not having to be on a ladder and holding a gas can at chest or head level to fill up my tractor. SIMPLE, EASY and LIGHT!!

Worked great for only one year.
After one year the product just stopped working. Was alway stored indoors. Worked great while it did. Not happy for price to longevity.

Transfers fuel quickly
The unit transfers fuel quickly from my gas cans to all my needs. The one thing I can say is that the auto stop is really good when filling large tanks but not so good on small ones like lawn mowers. It shuts off when you could get another cup or 2 in those tanks and that matters with small tanks. Not so much in generators or atv's. I'm still not sold on how much these pumps cost, I don't really think they are worth the cost.
