Hit Reset: Revolutionary Yoga for Athletes: Revolutionary Yoga for Athletes Review: I love this book - This book is unique in that you can go to the table of contents, and it targets whatever group you need help with: hamstrings, hips, side, shoulders, core, etc. Extremely useful. I like how it's focused mostly for people who sit too much, and for people who run. Talks a lot about improving your form, which I've always wanted to do. My hips feel a lot better while running. Finally, I like the layout and the text. Really makes it fun. I haven't actually written in mine, I feel like I'm still in the process of just understanding how my body is supposed to feel. The "cues" really do work. "finding your backpack" "mitigate booty lock" etc. In fact sometimes when I'm working out, I'll start thinking of those phrases, and remind myself I need to stretch my hip flexors more etc. How can you not love a book that teaches you "toe yoga" ? :D (actually ever since I started doing those toe yoga exercises, I actually roll off my big toe when I run now, it's awesome.) So yeah I ordered 7 copies to give out at Christmas... Hopefully other people will like it as much as I do! Review: I started doing the recommended stretches and wow what a difference - I have an embarrassing collection of fitness books that I have donated away. I started doing the recommended stretches and wow what a difference! My football playing grandson uses it. I'm much, much older . I showed it to my personal trainer. I found I could do so much more and recovered quickly. Great for all levels. ; If you lift weights and don't stretch properly, you will sustain injuries. My husband saw how quickly I was improving in my weight training that he started the recommended stretches too. This book does a great job explaining why you need to do the stretches and does offer sport specific stretches along with general stretches.

Quick read and filled with information you can use for life.
This book is excellent. Great pictures, easy to follow routines and a wonderful job by the author making this information useful for just about anyone ranging from the novice to the experienced athlete.

This is a good book to introduce yoga to athletes
This is a good book to introduce yoga to athletes. I like the language Erin uses. I think most athletes will find it accessible. My only issue is that this book does not really cover any new ground. So if you have any other yoga books which are intended for athletes I would skip it. If you don't have any other books I think it is as good or better than any of the others.

Chakra-free mastery of that yoga stuff
Are you tired of getting dragged to yoga classes by that friend you really want to sleep with and you can't come up with a better way of impressing him other than your too-cute short shorts and utterly disappointing flexibility? You go there with every intention of getting on this high-speed yoga train to healthy hamstrings and then the teacher asks you to ground yourself to the Earth's deepest chakra and you are DONE. The floor smells like so many feet and you're three stories above the Earth's surface--no one's touching that chakra, kids. Well this book is all about practicality. You listen to Erin and do her no-nonsense Yogi Yoda tricks and you'll soon be waving HEEEEY at your crush with your foot high over your head. Never knew my calves could feel so good, and this whole thing came out in the gutter, but that's how the ball rolls sometimes.

Love this book
Love this book. I bought it initially for helping to lead yoga for the cross country team that I helped coach this fall. I love using for my own personal stretching, flexibility, and strength needs. A great go-to.

Great for newer runners and cyclists
This is great for a new athlete looking to avoid injury and keep older muscles in balance. Very easy to follow and help you find your problem areas. I just wish it was spiral bound. I am doing some of these poses everyday and have noticde alot of relief in my problem areas.
