You either set up as a swing on two separated hangers, or you put all lines on a single hanger. My grandkids wind up the swing, and then ride it around and around as it unwinds. They love it! If you add spinner hardware (not included), the ropes will spin, but not wind up, thus no fun ride in the unwinding process. **Q: Is this swing better hung together or apart? We have it hanging apart like a regular swing and it goes crooked very easily.** A: Definitely should put this by itself because it doesn't push straight like other swings and has a large area it covers. Makes it more fun! **Q: Is this waterproof?** A: Yes it is. We have had our swing for several months hanging in a tree. Just takes a little know how to finish the set up. Get all the bars threaded through the nylon loops. Connect 1 & 2 together and then 3 & 4 together to create two semi-circles. Then set it up like a taco and snap the last ends together.
