Dozier knives with D2 blades are best sharpened with diamond and ceramic sharpeners. D2 is a bit too hard for stones.

Q: Is the clip removeable?

Yes, it appears to be removable, however, I like the clip where it is on my knife and I haven’t tried to remove the clip, so I can’t speak to how easy it is to change over.

Q: How is D2 steel better than Aus8 steel?

Found the following on the Internet: D2 is higher-quality steel that is harder and has better edge retention than AUS-8, but D2 does not have as much corrosion resistance. AUS-8 is the opposite. So, if you're looking for a cheaper, more water-resistant knife, go with AUS-8. If you want a high-end, less water-resistant knife, go with D2.
