The inseam is the length of the shorts/underwear from your groin towards your knees... Even the similar "high end" $45-$50 compression shorts from Nike (for one pair) can't compete with these. Nike's stuff is made with high quality materials but the wristbands are small and thin, making them always and eventually roll up/stay bent and that causes them to move around (I think it's called bacon neck for shirts or bacon crimping or something.) Anyways, these Underarmour have just as nice of materials, they're super comfortable and have plenty of room for your "anatomy", but the waistband on these Underarmours are much longer and thicker. This makes these Underarmour incredibly superior underoos/compression shorts. Not to mention these Underarmours are much less expensive. I'm not turning back. These are honestly the best underoos/compression shorts I've ever bought. They do a great job of keeping the temperature down there great and also have a hidden pocket in them! You will save money, feel more comfortable and not have to keep messing with your bacon waistband rolling and shifting all day. I wish I had switched to these sooner. Was curious about he underwear at first, but then I bought them and was utterly amazed in the product. The quality of the cloth is so soft and the polyester does not pull on the hair on my legs.
