He has trouble absorbing nutrients from his foods due to the digestive problems. I have tried giving him plain low-salt chicken bone broth, but he's not interested, and when I stop supplementing his foods, he becomes very lethargic. I give him half a packet of this broth poured over his wet food once a day (I refrigerate the remaining packet), and the difference in his behavior is obvious: he is more alert and playful. He loves it and licks it up before he even takes a bite of wet food.
